Growing IG poetry account

Hello everyone,

Recently i started running a poetry IG page in a foreign language.

All the poems are unique and written by my girlfriend, therefore our main goal is to become a kind of "authority" in this field.

We started the page 1 month and 1 week ago, and by now we managed to get 600 targeted followers through MANUAL Follow/Unfollow, with an engagement rate of about 15%.

We post one picture a day, because it requires a lot of time to write a quality poem.

Back to us, i started thinking to take the page to the next level and i was wondering what could be the best option. The manual follow/unfollow strategy is not an option anymore since i don't have enough time to do that, therefore i thought about running a bot. I have previous experience with botting, tough I’m afraid this could ruin our engagement rate/authority.

Also, could DM new followers (e.g thanks for following us, I hope you’ll like our page ..) be good or would it just look invasive?

Any advice and strategy is really appreciate,

600 followers in 1 month is pretty bad
Follow 40 people an hour i.e 7 people in 10 minutes
Do it for 8 hours a day

Well i was doing all manually, and had about 1 hour a day

That won't get you any followers
You have to work hard to achieve your goal
Don't use any bots
Buy instagram mentions to boost your engagement
I won't recommend powerlikes too

Because he has no clue what he is talking about, you can do f/u pretty easy with a simple bot, to stay safe follow about 500 people a day and two days later unfollow them again
Make sure your sources are good

So what? It has always done that....

Or did you really think this was something new, it's not.

The reason you know about it now, is due to the facebook data breach backslash and FB/IG need to come clean on what data they collec (haven't you seen the hearings?) if that data breach never happened you would not have known about it.

Maybe you are right but I do know(by my experience) that botting kills your post's reach, I wouldn't recommend botting at all, my 800 followers(hand grown account) was getting 250+ likes while the botted account was getting 100-150 likes at 1200 followers.
Edit - the accounts were in same niche

be part of engagement groups, use relevant hashtags, mention other similar pages and ask them to do the same.

Isn't my page too small to start engagement groups? I would only be able to contact other small pages

It doesn't if you research your sources properly and you have a solid strategy, in his case i would be looking out for accounts about poetry, writing and even arts like painting and stuff (these niches overlap) with an engagement of 10% and up

Then i would scrape the people that have engaged with their content (like and comment) and follow them, now you know two things:

One, that they are actively engaging on IG. And two, that they are interested in your niche.

if you just follow their follower's changes are indeed that you are killing engagement as a lot of followers could be dead accounts...
