Great offline method! Im working it now!

hey basstracker, you just gave me a great idea, but i did already have 4 coupons on the bottom with specials that he wanted to promote.

also i upsold a bartering deal to do a email campaign lol, free pizza, dunno how many pizzas im ask for

Why only pizza shops other offline businesses like coffee shops my be used in this way.

Great idea.

Do you guys use the design of the banner or do you create something yourself for the flyer?

I think you may be leaving money on the table as this is outlined. Instead of giving a percentage to the pizza place, put coupons on the flyer for them. Mr. Jones buys a pizza, gets a flyer with 2 coupons on it for 1.00 off next time he buys and your ad is on there as well.

People use coupons ALL THE TIME when buying pizza and this method helps the pizza guy get repeat business.

Great idea!!

great concept, but how do you proove that your incomes are xxx$, to the pizza seller? he could think you are hiding a part of the incomes generated thanks to his pizzas...

Hey what's happening man:cool:

So 1st i'd like to say great post and spin on the ole 'pizza method'... in theory.

I say in theory, just because up to this point from what i've read here, you have not stated how many actual leads nor actual earnings you have generated from this great sounding idea (Of which I too have been plotting on for sometime...) The point is NOT to get in your business, but rather to make an informed decision whether to waste or invest time in what sounds like an awesome method.

It's also a bit confusing (And don't take this in an offensive way please...) as you state in your initial post
im working with local pizza shops around my city
Later in the same original post you state
im only working with one shop right now, but the numbers will be enormous once i start doing this with 4 or 5 shops
...

So my simple question to you, (not to put you on the spot or anything , but to gain clarity about the facts, as i'm sure many others are curious to know) is how much have you made thus far? How many leads have you generated from X amount of fliers?

Best regards

Im pretty sure its not new but want to share something im doing with ppl on here, because hey it still works.... but im working with local pizza shops around my city, i have flyers that promote the netflix free 30 day trial offer and they slap the flyers on all of their boxes that get picked up and delivered. The flyers also have 4 specials that the pizza shop is running so its pretty official. Call to action is something like Enjoy Free Movies with your Hot pizza! Visit link below to recieve any dvd you want shipped to your front door FREE for 30 days. Thats not how i worded it exactly but you get the idea. one pizza shop averages 500-600 boxes delivered each week. so thats 500-600 flyers per shop per week. im only working with one shop right now, but the numbers will be enormous once i start doing this with 4 or 5 shops, think about it 500 boxes per week per shop, 5 shops is 2,500 boxes/flyers out per week! a lousy 10 percent of those 2,500 flyers sign up for the free trial which is 15 dollars where i have it right now. thats 250 sign ups which will equal up to 3,750 per week. thats 15k per month! I mean its totally doable, just give the pizza shops 10 percent at the end of the month, and profit like hell!~

I went to Garlex Pizza and ordered a slice and asked to talk to the owner about a flyer idea I had. They were indian and not very fluent in english. I spoke to the owner and told him about my idea of having flyers being delivered with every order. I explained what it was, but I didn't say I worked FOR netflix, I just said I marketed for netflix. He said he wasn't interested, but I went in just to test the waters. He then asked how I would know if the sign ups were his and I explained how I would track it using either coupon codes or a unique sign up link.

I wasn't really prepared and I just wanted to see what the response was. I think if I'm going to do this for real I gotta have a mini presentation ready with images to show and explain what I want to do. And I think I need to appear more professional and less like some kid who wants to play "business".

The only problem I'm seeing is that each month the pizza shop will only bring in around 200 extra dollars, and thats if I give them 10$ of the 15$.

hmmm I neeed to think of something quick...

looks like an awesome method but...

but im working with local pizza shops around my city, [...] im only working with one shop right now, but the numbers will be enormous once i start doing this with 4 or 5 shops,

kinda on the fence after reading this... anyone else try this method??? Does it work extremely well for you?

areevezcash, can you give us a preview of this 10% conversion flyer?????

like basstrackerboats said, i would not give them a percentage of anything. that just complicates everything. just tell them how this is going to increase their business and how they don't have to pay for their own coupon flyers.

Here's how you do it:

make a coupon that says "Purchase a large pizza for $___ and GET a FREE 30 day trial of netflix"

the pizza can be full price if they want or make a deal with 2 larges or whatever. but make the netflix offer seem exclusive only if they order pizza. like put a coupon code that they have to type in or something.

Its not brain surgery people. I think this can really work if you twist it the right way.

You hit the nail right on the head!. No need to give the owners of the biz anything, but FREE fliers!

well maybe it is worth it to test, but i dont think there will be much success, pizzaiolos are not informaticians and they dont care too much about our issues :)

Maybe it is better to directly deal with the man on his scooter who deliver the pizzas and make an arrangement with him

wat do u mean? i think its better to go thru the manager/owner not the delivery guy, one delivery guy wouldnt be alotta volume

the delivery guy is often young and searching for easy money, so you can pay him a few bucks and he will put your flyer in the pizza box without any problem, whereas the manager will ask questions and doubt

Nice idea.... Out of the box approach. Has anyone had success so far? Any other products and services that could be promoted on pizza boxes?

hey, stupid question..

where do they put those flyers? ON the pizza? :/ on the pizza box? (might lose on transport)

LOL :D You just gave me a much needed laugh...
