Few days back after mass bans i have decided to create survey to collect data from as many users as possible to see what we have in common and why we gettin our accounts banned. Its few questions regarding emails, proxies,# of follows ... so if you want help please fill the form:

    https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIp ... Q/viewform

But probably 2 days back i saw this tumblr post https://staff.tumblr.com/post/159683324 ... ollow-spam

    Fighting “Follow Spam”
A quick update on one of our priorities right now: Getting rid of spammy followers.
We’ve recently made a lot of headway, including shutting down several large spam rings that were responsible for most of these spammy follows.
We’re always improving our algorithms to catch these annoying bots, but one of the best tools we have are your reports. If you ever catch someone spammy following you, you can use this icon to report them

So from this i think tumblr ban because of follow. Its simple if you follow 100+ people per day (in long term thousands of ppl) there is always chance that someone not like your blog/consider it as spam and will report you then they probably analyze the account and ban all others that have similar behavior = mass ban.
Still to be sure just fill out the form i will publish results in future so we can learn something from this.

I have created thread on Tumblingjazz forum if you have by any chance access to other tumblr bot forum post this there to get as many ppl as possible.

Ok but I'm curious to see the results of this survey, or it's just for you?

    That's a great idea , thanks
But i think there is also another issue , once in a while they ban accounts that post to specific tags like : pussy , teen sexy etc ...
no matter what is the action you make on your account .
I run about 100 accounts (part of them marked as NSFW) which is only posting to queue , and sometimes i got banned to ,
for example i had blog related to ebony girls and they ban any new account in that niche as it becomes popular and gains about 2k followers...
so i suggest to add a tag option to your survey too..

Best observation! Yes, that's right. I found out the same thing. Just stay away from creating blogs in such a niche for a month after you experience a ban. Then diversify the same niche into 4 or 5 subniched tumblrs on different accounts/machines. That way you stay in the niche but avoid larger losses. Keep on Kicking.

So, in that situation what would support's response be to you when you ask them about the ban? "There's too many pussys on tumblr, and unfortunately your pussy didn't make the cut."

Naturally most of us are doing something else wrong like getting caught automating, or spamming, so I guess what you're saying is every once in a while they do an intensive check for certain tags and ban accounts that are found with ads or other issues?

Speaking of support, I think that probably needs some investigation too. I've contacted them 4 times about bans. 2 times they reversed the bans, one time I got no response, and one time I got told I was automating and spamming affiliate links.... I was automating at the time, but didn't have any "affiliate links", just ads... and not to mention tumblr has already approved of using ads and having affiliate links, just so long as you don't over do it.

One of the times I reversed the ban it was part of a wave that also banned a few other blogs, so I'm assuming I could restore those blogs too. Im a little worried though that they'd catch on after all these accounts request to be unbanned and they all have similar setups. Would be interesting to see the best time of day/day of the week to contact them is and how many different support reps there are. Of the 3 times I've got a response it was always a different name.

Tumblr is free to use and the house that you build there is on rented land, you will never have any guarantee that your blog will remain alive. Your blog could get banned anytime and nobody from support is bound to give you a response or a fuck about that. Some from the staff are so relaxed that they don't even sign the response to your ticket or never show you where is the problem so you could avoid that mistake in the future. You are not a customer so you don't have the right to protest about anything, eventually you could help them by reporting other users, something that I just won't do it because it's not my job to report others and I simply block them if they are annoing me. The only ones that I want to block are the "recommended posts" .... The reality is that THEY want the money and will never agree to let you make the money on their platform so any time they smell the moniez that you want in your pocket they'll ban you.

Hello yes not forgot just had only few participants (15)
But here is what i found
Mostly ppl use shared proxies, doing follow actions no matter how many.
Also same with accounts manually and brought online had similar ban ratios maybe those mail.ru are the most common footprint. Not matter what bot is used ppl get ban.
    Total accounts banned : 19296

    all results are here :

Thank you ! Good work with the survey, too bad we don't have more responses.
