Is there any reason not to? Obviously, you'd never put them on a PBN, but it could be helpful to know some of the things GWT provides that you can't get thru Clicky, etc.

Its not bad to have your site on google webmasters, you cannot hide anything from them by not registering, they already know and are begging you to register so they can reveal some of the stuff to you. The only thing you should never do is add more than one site into the same webmaster account.

Need to switch up IPs when logging in and out of GWT accounts or is that just overkill?

I switch IPs when I do that... it only takes a second and that is cheap insurance to be safe.

For simplicity, I've had 3 money sites in the same WMT for years, and not received any penalties.

Well you cannnot rely on google. Webmaster tools its great but to keep safer:
this its what i do:
1 money site per wmt account/gmail pva
1 account per private proxy
1 virtual machine per account

i really dont like to use vmt but now if u have a penalty its the only way to know it.

Is there any case study that proves that you shouldn't add more than one moneysite to one wmt account?

I'm not sure which one it was, but I was reading this thread earlier and checked one of the suggested threads and a few people were talking about sites receiving penalties and then within minutes every site within that account getting axed too.

Anyways, as for myself, I think I'll just avoid using it at all unless I seriously suspect a penalty.

I have all my websites in the same webmaster tools account and the same google analytics account... I can't see why is this a problem. My websites are on different niches and not linked to each other. Does google has a problem if you own more than 1 website? ...
