Google update again?!

Do you guys (with medical/health websites) have expert authors, with prominent credentials, writing articles and reviewing your content?

Have an authority site but it also dropped like hell. Thin spam sites are ranking higher then me. I am confused what Big G is thinking about. :P

I run a health website and it is declining badly. Someone on Reddit said to me: "At the firm I work for we're seeing major fluctuations for sites that Google likely considers "Your Money or Your Life" Sites - Mostly medical and health related."

In my location on mobile, i found that on image search they were showing 3 tabs with suggestions, now they are shoing 5 long tail keywords.(3 words).
This evening i found my site on serp with exact position, where my other serp was with shorter keyword. 3 words kw, replaced 2 words kw to exact same SERP with different image...
.... I guess low hanging apples scheme is liked by this update.. Again and again they are filtering mass vs "quality" content.

Anyone noticed indexing getting sloooower then before after the update ?

No I don't. It's just me. I'm a trained journalist turned researcher and nutritionist. And I think that may be one reason why my website is going downhill, even though my articles are high-quality and reference scientific journals. I really need a medical degree or other people working with me that have medical degrees.

I'll throw in my 2cents... My 2 aff sites ranking are taking huge leaps of dancing. Between 30-40 position drop-rise.

positions are the same, traffic dropped 60%

IIRC google stated that this not a link-related update. It's simply how they display results, meaning some sites might switch positions, but that does not mean it's a penalty.

The only site that was affected in my portfolio was my main health blog, other sites see no changes. Another main site, which is in "jobs" category saw no decline - on the contrary - it receives more traffic now (up to 20,000 per day).
It might be that only some "niches" are affected, especially the profitable ones.
Will see in the upcoming days how it goes....
I agree with you, my health blog saw on decline

It seems that this update affects many health sites. I see it too. :(

Few of my sites that can be considered as authority sites are getting drops in rankings too. Moving from #1 to #6-7 for all the main keywords. I think it has something to do with fresh and frequent content? Let's just hope everything goes back to normal.

for those who got a drop in ranking, do you have open graph tags in your page? also what about twitter meta tags?

for example:
<meta property="og:type" content="website" />
<meta property="og:title" content="red apple" />
<meta property="og:description" content="buy red apple**" />
<meta property="og:url" content="https://www.domain.com/" />
<meta property="og:site_name" content="red apple" />
<meta name="twitter:card" content="summary" />
<meta name="twitter:description" content="red apple"
