Well, many people use AI as a coding assistant. What is new in this?

A school friend of mine has a company that works on payout APIs here in India and stuff and they use AI heavily in their day to day operations.

BTW I also saw this news in the Google discover feed a while ago.

And this will certainly impact the future recruitment and industries.

They will review and clean the code **by a lot** before putting it into production.
They use AI to generate the draft to save some typing time and/or document look-up time, which is exactly the best use case of AI.

They still need very talented software engineers to review/refactor the AI-generated code; it doesn't mean AI is doing all the job.

You are absolutely right. But problem is human laziness.

After few years you will see man/programmer/worker will think, why would I waste time on reviewing while it can be done by AI itself?

They will build a model and let AI to make its own model once. As we have seen that AI already learned things by itself.

And then the whole thing will be a massacre.

(Totally my personal thoughts and measurements)
