Hi
I have been trying my luck with shopping ads but finding it difficult to get the products displayed consistently for the keywords we need them to be displayed. From what i read, adwords algo looks at the product title and its description and then decides which keywords to display it for. Because of this we had to change the title of several products as well because a human could have easily understood what they were for but the algo wasn't picking up on it.
But here's the interesting part. I am seeing some products of other companies consistently display on shopping ads for certain keywords despite neither their title nor their description has that keyword. what could be going on here? An example would be say Christmas gifts keyword which is displaying a shopping ad for product oxford shoes. If you click the ad and check those shoes page, you find Christmas gifts neither in the title nor description. So what is going on here!?
