Google search VS internal search

Right now, when you search for something, your query opens up in a new Google search page. The query inside the search bar looks like this:

site:example.com user search query goes here

As you can see, that way, the user wont see any other results from other websites: theyll only see results for my website.

Will this help my website rank in any way?
Should I make an internal search (make my server seek for blog articles by himself) instead and make money by showing ads?
