Google releasing a large update today

I'm also a victim of this update.
70% of URLs including homepage are displayed as slow
Mine are all fast, less that 1 second, "Good" in that section of the GSC, it doesn't matter.

I Just noticed an updated on GSC, called Core Web Vitals which looks at these two components

1) Cumulative Layout Shift (CLS)
2) Largest Contentful Paint (LCP)

These just got added today, and the majority of our sites have been smashed during the updates, but these scores are very bad for the current platforms.

- Is this related? Is anyone who has been affected can confirm this?
- We need to understand what the correlations of the sites being affected are, so we can find out what the core trends are and resolve? ....if your interested lets get a thread, but have to be open!

Just a note, there is no point moaning and saying that Google got it wrong. Its very unlikely that this is the case and the winners will not be saying this. This is a core update to the algo and there has obviously been a significant change that has affected *some* websites and not all. There is no point waiting for a report to come out from one of the general SEO blogs, because it wont be indepth and will be a high level overview based on very little. The way to recapture our positions is through knowledge sharing in a structured way, analysing the trends of sites that have dropped (not been hit or dancing but a gradual lowering in traffic and rankings) and work out as a community what the resolve is.

If anyone who is heavily invested in the sucess of search, lets put this platform to good use and work together to setup a working group that can define the answers. Sounds far fetched.......but this is possibe.

Just to give some credentials, we run multiple sites across all niches in South East Asia, some have around 20M Monthly Users etc.....so were heavily reliant on maintaining a good search strategy
No its not new, it was named the otherway and it was changed today. It was speed report before https://twitter.com/rustybrick/status/1265640398954864642

BTW: It still called speed report in German

how many of you are facing indexing issues now? I submitted a couple of URL a few days ago and they are still "Last crawled on 15 May"

Hm, am I the only one who has no problems and doesn't see any?

@Shopllc
At least once in my life, I have had some luck.

Could you please PM me your website so I can analyze these.

If Google chooses a totem animal for this update, then this is the best candidate:

Sorry I'm late to the party but I've been trying to wrap my head around this May update. I was fighting hard to build my SEO but I felt a little hit from the update. But it looks like my site is recovering.

Guys is it still haven't settle this Update? Today been hit suddenly , few days back it seem slowly recover after been hit. Again like dancing for my side

To all: Show me the sites that have lost traffic but do everything right in your opinion.
Or sites that don't deserve to be ranked well

What's your approach and how do you analyze the sites, what tools do you use? How do you go about a site targeting a broad niche and multiple keywords within that niche? Each keyword has a dedicated post. I couldn't care less about the so-called 'home page' as I never intended to rank it, all I care about are the inner pages that lost ranking.

still losing and dancing keyword for my parts

Same here for us....up one day, down the other....but overall down!

The site that dominates my niche gets the worst mobile score I have ever seen, less than 10. They are everywhere at the top of every search

still losing and dancing keyword for my parts
my top 1 to 10 position keywords drop again yesterday I checked

I think also due to my niche is more on entertaiment , Music etc ,
I read from somewhere , google search those on entertainment , Travelling etc are been hit partly due to Covi19 , less search also
