    Hello ,
I have 2 websites : one is 2 years old and page rank 2 ,the other one is almost 1 month and page rank 0.
I would like to do SEO for these 2 websites.
First full I want to start with web directories. What are the rules for posting ?
For example if I post today 20 directories and 1 week later another 20, is it ok for Google?
Someone said if I start to post 20 directories per day, I should post every day the same number ,otherwise Google can give me a penalty ? Is this right? If I don?t post every day with the same speed ,Google will give me the penalty ,and my website?s page rank will go down?
Does anyone had this kind of experience with Google ?
And another question : who give the Google penalty? Machine or human being ?
Thank you for sharing your thoughts !

Not all directories accept your site into their database in single day. The process is nearly ‘search engine friendly'. Each directory acceptance time frame will vary from 1 - 180 days. This is completely natural way of link building, so no worries.

No one knows properly who is behind google penalty or way of algorithm...

if a site is old then no problem for heavy link building and if it is new keep building links naturally.

build as many links as you can.
i have a one month old site it has 3.5k backlinks and it is rising through the serps every week.
if u get sandboxed then just link to authority site and add lots of new content simple.

"Penalties" that people talk about is usually just a "serp dance". If you build quickly you may see some fluctuations in rank as the search engines chew on the new links, but it comes back most of the time much better. It can happen for new or old sites, I've seen it happen personally on a PR5 domain that was ~5 years old of my own. I was on page 2 for a term, built MASSIVE links and then serp danced. After about 1 month of fluctuations up and down it came back high on the first page for my term. It just really depends how long-term and serious you are about the domain.
