Yestarday Google banned and/or sandboxed some of the polish biggest corporations websites for using link wheels/BH.

They penalized e-commerce sites, product comparision sites and group deals sites. Some of them are multimillion companies with hundreds thousand keyword in top three!

Representatives for those companies say that they can even face bankruptcy, since more than 80% of their traffic comes from big G. OWNED :)

They admitted that they had been using linking methods that don't meet with google's guideline.

I read it, they basically got the regular google message about guideline problems (complaining that it was too "general" as a lot of people do on here).

These sites are attempting to "fix" their linking problems in order to get back in the rankings.

Nothing special in the article. Just funny how these conglomorates are at the mercy of Google.

Nothing in the article talks about "black hat" nor "link wheels" but it does mention getting paid reciprocal links.

No, the article does not mention about this, but PR manager from one of penalized sites (nokautdotpl) released a statement, where they admitted to use automatic/payed.link.exchange.services. Funny part is that G banned sites with tens of millions unique visitors per month.

That's one of the hottest news in Poland at the moment (except th ACTA law).

Wow, just goes to show that they can hit us all no matter how big or small. Someone is losing their ass on that one for sure.
