A new algorithm is said to be rolled out on 25th June 2017.Is that true?.Some sites seems to have affected.If so What is that algorithm targeting?

I didn't read anything about this but on August 22, 2017, Google rolled out a new local algorithm update called "Hawak". Columnist Joy Hawkins have shard everything on SEL you need to know about the 'Hawk' update.
 
Yep, the recent update was Google Hawk about the local search results.
But there were some changes in the SERP results at June but that was like normal changes.
 
Google seems to have been rolling out a large search algorithm update starting sometime around Sunday, June 25. Google’s John Mueller said, “We make updates all the time,” when asked specifically about the speculation around a Google update. In my opinion, there was an algorithm update to the Google search rankings over the past few days that is still rolling out.

Google technically did not confirm it, outside of John Mueller’s typical reply to any questions around an algorithm update. But based on the industry chatter that I track closely and the automated tracking tools from Mozcast, SERPMetrics, Algoroo, Advanced Web Rankings, Accuranker, RankRanger and SEMRush, among other tools, it seems there was a real Google algorithm update.

I noticed many of my sites I made for small local cities outside of my large money site for a local service business jumped in ranking quite a bit without me actually doing anything. I usually don't think much of these things and just keep moving forward, but reading about hawk I know that's exactly what it was.
