Google doesn't care about unique articles anymore

I just discovered something new or probably not with Google. I posted an article on my blog using the same article from a famous blog. No rewrites and full of plagiarism. It was over 1500 words. After I posted it, I went to the search engine and typed the url from my blog and guess what? It got indexed and that was just 5 hours ago after I posted it. Anyone have experienced this or is it just a glitch? My blog has a DA less than 1 but it's on blogger platform btw.

It will be considered duplicate content and going to impact your overall ranking. But if you can manage to outrank the original article, that will be something new for you.
 
Google might be a woman, no one can understand what's on its mind o_O

I also feed google rubbish (duplicate content) and ranks well. It might not work for long term, but so far so good
 
Duplicate content, even 100% duplicate content has no impact on website getting indexed, but it has often devastating effects on wesbite SERP rankings.
 
What you are talking about is indexation. Ranking is a whole different story and that's where unique content becomes a factor.
 
It means nothing that your site is regularly crawled, and so your article is indexed. Move along nicely now. :cool:
 
You're talking about indexing only. As it was described above - plagiarism may affect on your ranking.
Keep an eye on it

You can easily get indexed and sometime duplicate can rank too. I've ranked duplicate content alot of times.
 
Check after a few days you may not be on the first 3 pages. Copy pasting is not good in the long run...it's a dangerous strategy

Yeah, been seeing spammy sites ranking many times.

Google spider is quite stupid.

So much for their A.I
 
I wasn't really talking about ranking, I'm talking about getting indexed on something that they tell us not to do. I've posted several duplicates before and they never got indexed even if I tried. Just seems very odd for Google.

Yeah, it comes down to Google finding it. You'd be surprised how many word-for-word articles are out there. It's really a shame Google isn't doing more about this.
 
You can get an empty page that has no content or anything for that matter indexed. ;)
However, that doesn't mean it will rank
 
What I can tell is while doing research today, I saw a website copying the content of the #1 search result 1:1 for low competition keywords and ranking right behind it on #2.

A plane can't take off from the runway, unless it gets on the runway. Indexing is different from ranking, but you do have to get site pages indexed in order to be in a position to rank. So yes, getting indexed in a few hours is important. But staying ranked, instead of Google de-ranking you later when it sees you are using dupe content, is more important long term.
 
Just because its indexed doesn't mean you'll rank for that term
Ranking goes through scores of filters
