Hi all BHWers.

I just got trouble with my site's title when searched in Google.

My website's meta title is as follows : Mysite.com|Aircraft News|Boat News|Jetski News.

When I use Google to look up for Boat News, the site became : Jetski News Mysite.com|Aircraft News|Boat News
But when I search for Jetski News, its normal : Mysite.com|Aircraft News|Boat News|Jetski News.
Searching the EMD yield normal result : Mysite.com|Aircraft News|Boat News|Jetski News.
Searching for other phrases, like Boat news today sometimes give the bad results, but most of it are normal

I don't change anything in my meta title, but Google change my title.

Usually I don't do anything, because Google has done it in the past too, and corrected itself after few days, if not hours.
Thoughts?

I had the same problem. but not now. Make sure Remove those pipe bars which are separated and Ping.

I also heard about this.. But I did not face for my websites..

Google changes your title in the serp display if the title you suggested isn't contextually relevant to your page's content. There are cases in which google reverts to your original title and there are cases in which the title remains changed in the serp results for a long time.

Btw, why do you need so many pipes? Try to focus your titles and descriptions more on "call to action" terms.

Something like: "Aircraft news. We hold all the info, find out for yourself"

Why whole breadcrumb and all pipes? Keep it to the point and simple.

You are confusing Google? :)

I have known that Google may change the title, but in my case, Google is merely switch around my words. I can assure you also that all content in my site is relevant to the title. What's confusing is, as you can see, if I change the search term, the title is changed also.

Well, it's because I really have, in this example, aircraft news and boat news. Some of my competitors have only one type of news, while I have both news, so I think it's one of my strong points.

Because my website contains much more information than just aircraft news, so I though that it will be great if it is reflected in the title. Any thoughts on this?

Same thing happened to me 1 month ago and it still the same.

Is it a wordpress site ? Have you set a site title in general settings that's different to the title you entered in your (seo plugin?) settings

If you are using an seo plugin check that your theme doesn't have it's own seo settings menu in theme options.

Same thing happened with one of my custom sites. They do it if you try to stuff keywords in your title like welcome to site - KEYWORD 1|Keyword2
etc

Change that, wait for sometime and it will be back.
