Google Business Profile Got Disabled – What’s Going On?

Woke up today to find that my Google Business Profile is disabled, and I’m not sure why. This is a legit local business — real address, phone, everything. No shady stuff.


I submitted for reinstatement, but it's just the generic response so far. No clear reason was given.


Anyone here dealt with this recently?


Would love to know:


  • Common reasons profiles get disabled in 2025?
  • How long is the reinstatement process these days?
  • Any tricks to speed it up or avoid getting flagged again?
  • Are people still creating backup profiles or using verified listings?

Losing local visibility is killing my leads, so any advice or PMs are welcome. Thanks in advance!

Google’s been super sensitive lately, even with legit listings. Common issues now are inconsistent NAP info, keyword stuffing, or too many edits at once. Reinstatement can take anywhere from a few days to a few weeks, depending on their queue. Having solid documentation helps (like utility bills, signage photos, etc.). Some people do keep backup profiles, but it’s risky.
