Google Blogger how do I set up a redirect ??

I been struggling with this all day, yes I'm a newbie

I have a (google) blogger page I wish to use as a re-directer for facebook traffic in order to bypass the facebook filters on affiliate traffic but I'm struggling to work it out, google search has me editing html but it doesn't work, or I cant get it to work, I enter the html (in what I believe is the right place) and nothing, the url still takes me to the actual blog page instead of my affiliate landing page and the "custom redirect" option with blogger just isn't playing ball either again just loads the blog page and not my affiliate landing page.

Can anyone help me out/point me in the direction of a solution ?

Here is an old redirecting script that I used to use with Blogger. You place in the head of your HTML in Blogger.

just paste this after <head>
<meta content='1;url=http://yourdomain' http-equiv='refresh'/>

this is simple and straight forward
