Google Ads - Overcoming Disapproved Ads

Hi guys,

As experts in this area, I would value your opinion on our situation.

We're running ads for VPS [Virtual Private Server], but the thing is, the product is used for traders meaning it's a Forex VPS, but no different than a regular VPS.

We've had ads running for multiple years without issues, we're a verified advertiser, managed to get an exemption for financial services verification, had a good standing history, we're on a credit line, so everything Google requires we did.

Out of the blue, our 2 ad accounts were flagged last week and all campaigns were disapproved. After submitting the automated appeal (failed), I raised an appeal for a manual review and only confirmed that the campaigns should stay disapproved with the policy - "Complex Speculative Financial Products". Their tech team said that we should: I quote -

"If you don't tend to promote complex speculative financial products, please kindly edit/ remove the ads in order to comply with our policies. Once you have edited and saved the ads, it will be sent to us for review automatically. "

I tried explaining so many times that we're a tech company and not related to complex speculative financial products but ultimately they don't care.

What I want to do is create a safe version of our home page and avoid anything related to Forex or Brokers.

Do you think this will help us get our ads running again or it won't help as Google will review the whole website regardless that we created a safe LP?

What is your opinion?

Hi !

In my opinion, ads are not accepted for the following reasons:
+ The advertising content and images and videos are not creative for users or the content destination link is not creative either (Because Google will update user trends regularly, so you need to change the content to more suitable)
+ Your certificate also needs to be reviewed with Google to see if it is still accepted at the present time, and at the same time send to Google support how to edit the current content on the website to be approved.
+ Try using a cleaner IP without using VPS, replace it with Ads Power and have a clean Proxy.
-> We have done so for Google to review the content and suggest corrections according to Google support's discretion. After that, you can reset the ad and I think it will be OK. Good luck and solve the problem)

Hi,

I think you should try running an ad using a cloaker and a white page (safe page) for testing. Try creating a white page without using anything that Google Ads moderators don't like and launch the ad. In theory, this should solve the problem.

For the test, you can generate a white page on the topic you need on our website. If you need help generating white pages for your specific task, feel free to contact our customer support.

If you make a cloaker, then “VPS for Forex” will also disappear from Google search. This makes no sense. Then it’s easier to name these VPS for Forex on the website differently, excluding the word “Forex”.

Overall, you are right, I agree. But in this case, you would have to exclude the word "Forex" not only from the website but also from the ad itself, and as I understand it, the main audience is traders. Suppose the keyword "Forex VPS" remains in the advertising campaign, but it won't be in the ad text or on the website. With cloaking, at least when clicking on the ad, the customer will see "Forex VPS" on the website, not something else.

Perhaps it might actually be better to do a rebranding, first choosing a name that Google will accept and that traders will understand as VPS for traders.

May I ask how do you get an exemption for financial services verification? This is very helpful. I've been suffering from this for a long time.

Is there a problem with the site google is now very strict on the site audit

Your product, contact information, and after-sales service should be perfect, or at least not so that the googlers can see the flaws.

Nowaday its easy to approved the financial ads on google with small trick...
 
Yeah, making a clean, neutral LP usually helps. Google looks at the landing page content more than just the ad copy. Strip out all Forex/broker mentions, focus on VPS as a tech/product service, and submit for review. It’s not a guarantee, but accounts with good history often get approved once the LP clearly avoids restricted topics.
