Google Ads Calls

for the crypto industry, that's what I'm seeing. intent calls for example with a form people fill and you call them after a few days.

In crypto calls are pretty good, agreed.

From what I’m seeing, intent-based calls are still the most valuable and consistent performers on Google Ads. Raw or “random” calls might look cheaper, but they usually don’t convert well unless you’ve got strong filtering and a solid sales setup.

Depends on your targeting and vertical, what do you run?

Google's killing Call-Only ads (no new ones since Feb 2026, existing ones stop serving Feb 2027) — everyone's migrating to RSAs + call assets. So pure "raw call" ad format is dying, but intent calls are still king — insurance/Medicare/home services in the US still pay $25-300/call. Lazy migrations (just copy-paste into RSA) are seeing call ratios drop, proper rebuilds (high-intent keywords + call assets + tight geo) are still printing.

yeah i think the intent calls are still better because random calls may bring more calls but the quality is often low.

honestly raw calls just drain your budget with spam and misdials... if you arent doing high intent in tier 1 countries like US or UK with a proper landing page first you are just burning cash.

which type of calls are now trending on google ads and for which country ?
do people still go for intent calls or just raw or random calls are trending ?
intent calls still work better. Random calls can bring volume, but the quality is usually much lower. US market is still one of the strongest for call ads, but it more depends on your niche, what specific ads you'd like to run?

High intent calls still make more sense to me. Google is also putting more focus on call quality and intent, not just call duration, so random calls dont seem like a good long term strategy

Intent-based calls are still holding up better — quality scoring has gotten stricter, so raw/random calls tend to get flagged or just don't convert well anymore.

For GEOs, US/UK/CA/AU remain strongest, though some Tier 2 markets still perform decently depending on the vertical (insurance, home services, legal).

Curious if others are seeing the same shift or if any niche is still doing well with less qualified traffic.

From my view, Intent calls are still more valuable than random calls, focus on high intent services and test different countries based on your niche and offer.

I'd still favour a call with intent over raw/random calls. A call from someone actively searching for the service you're advertising is generally going to be worth more to you than simply generating call volume
As for which country, that really depends on the vertical and offer. Far as I'm aware, there's no real best market for calls, in a general sense. Have a look at actual conversion and payout data rather than chasing whatever call driver or call type is supposedly trending. You'll get more out of that, I think.

call campaigns can look better or worse than they really are depending on how you count conversions. i’d set a minimum call duration and use call reporting so you can separate real leads from quick hangups and repeat callers. also make sure the ads only run during hours when someone can actually answer.
