which type of calls are now trending on google ads and for which country ?
do people still go for intent calls or just raw or random calls are trending ?

for the crypto industry, that's what I'm seeing. intent calls for example with a form people fill and you call them after a few days.

In crypto calls are pretty good, agreed.

From what I’m seeing, intent-based calls are still the most valuable and consistent performers on Google Ads. Raw or “random” calls might look cheaper, but they usually don’t convert well unless you’ve got strong filtering and a solid sales setup.

Depends on your targeting and vertical, what do you run?

Google's killing Call-Only ads (no new ones since Feb 2026, existing ones stop serving Feb 2027) — everyone's migrating to RSAs + call assets. So pure "raw call" ad format is dying, but intent calls are still king — insurance/Medicare/home services in the US still pay $25-300/call. Lazy migrations (just copy-paste into RSA) are seeing call ratios drop, proper rebuilds (high-intent keywords + call assets + tight geo) are still printing.

tbh raw calls are a massive money pit unless you run them through a strict IVR. @TRUSTEDSEOSERVICE is right about the call-only ads sunsetting, RSAs with call assets is where its at now but the traffic quality can be garbage if you don't filter. if you are running US pay per call like medicare or rehab, you need at least a 10-15 second IVR keypress to weed out the misdials. otherwise you are just paying google for angry people looking for customer service. intent is still the only way to get decent margins.
