Hi everyone,

Thought I would follow the recommended formalities and post an introduction post!

I'm a 24 year old, university graduate from England, looking to learn and build an income online. I've been a lurker for sometime around these parts, never truly taking the plunge, but now I am ready!

After much deliberation into my specific method (I understand from veterans here, to pick a method and stick at it!) I have chosen my first particular path into internet marketing. I have purchased an Amazon keyword from ardley216, in the 1k-2k search range. I understand this is not a huge amount of search traffic, but I want to feel confident by successfully ranking a site, before moving into bigger and more authoritative search volumes. I chose Amazon due to the reliability of payments and the thrill I'm sure it will give me, when someone purchases a physical product through a link I have provided.

With this keyword, I will create a review site and rank through the various and vast methods, highlighted and explained on this forum. From there, I hope to build a portfolio of websites and increase my SEO knowledge along the way.

I have a couple of questions (for anyone that actually reads this haha):

1. Are there any particular ranking methods/services you would recommend for the site I have described? I wish to remain pretty white hat while I do this, fearing any kind of beat down from the big G for ranking my sites otherwise.

2. I have read about SEO-jacking through meathead1234's method, found on their thread "Easy $100 A Day - Perfect For Noobs". Would you recommend using this method alongside a more standard SEO ranking technique?

Any advice would be much appreciated, but other than that, thanks for reading and I hope I am welcome here!

Good day,

hi liquors. Welcome to BHW mate

Glad to see you have a plan. I suggest you do an analysis of the competition first and then build a strategy to rank. Read stuff like tiered link building... there are some goods threads about it here but you will have to search for it.

Welcome to bhw you seem to know where you are going! good luck.

Thanks for your response and advice! I will ensure that I do plenty of research in the areas you mentioned first of all, before diving in. I have a full-time job in RL, which covers everything I need, so I am certainly in no rush to dive in without doing the proper reading and preparation first of all.

Thanks again,

Welcome to bhw you seem to know where you are going! good luck.

Thanks for the support! I hope I do haha, but I'm sure things will change as I learn and develop.

Thanks,

Welcome to BHW mate.. Enjoy your stay over here, use it properly..
Cheers,

Welcome to BHW mate! Always nice to see new members from this rainy island. And do stick to your plan, and seeing you got yourself a keyword from Ardley you can't blame that for a reason should you fail ;) Which you will not, I trust!

Good luck and enjoy BHW!

Great name, OP.

You started smart buying a KW from Ardley as he knows his stuff. Before delving into the off site SEO and spending any money there at all, set your site up and set it up correctly. If you need some help figuring out what is right for on site SEO and what is screwy, I would be willing to lend a hand and I know there are others as well that would be happy to help.

Stay away from spending any money on SEO at this point though and get your site/pages up right.

Solid introduction, it's always nice to have another well-spoken and well-written member of this forum. As someone had mentioned in a post above, you seem to know what you want to do and where to go. I wish you the best success and fun while pursuing it.

Cheers.

Haha, that's it, no going back now I've purchased from the best! The reviews seemed to be excellent and I'm glad the response to me highlighting that purchase has been well received. I have no doubts now that I've started off on the right foot and will make sure I do everything I can to ensure my first keyword (of many hopefully!) lives up to its full potential.

Thanks for the support,

Wow, thank you for the offer of support, it is very much appreciated at this early stage in my journey and I will certainly take you up on the offer! I fully intend to get my site developed to the point where I would be happy viewing and utilising its content myself, before actually promoting and ranking the website off-site. I will ensure my on-site SEO is up to scratch, first and foremost also.

Once I have got my keyword and planned how I would structure my site, I will send you a PM to gather your thoughts.

Again, thank you very much for the support and glad you liked my name!

Thanks for the support, again! I understand that it is important to articulate yourself well in this field, both when discussing the field itself, but also the content that we produce and provide, so I hope this bodes well for me moving forward and I am glad you picked up on this, so thank you.

Welcome to BHW mate, I'm sure you will gain lots of information here in BHW.
about your question, If that not an hard keywords, do 2 or 3 Press Release for your site, with the right distribution you can get good results.
if you have some money to invest you can find few members here who sell Good PR packages, writing and distribution.

Nice intro there. Welcome to BHW!

Thanks! First impressions and all that!

Nice to see a fellow Brit!

Good luck with IM :).

Haha yes! Thanks!

Maybe they just meant that they are new to posting? I wouldn't see any real benefit in buying an old account with very few posts, but I could be wrong, being new myself.

Thanks for the advice, very much appreciated. I have seen some great packages on here, but I am doing plenty of research at the moment (whilst awaiting the delivery of my keyword) and will make sure that PRs are on my list.

I want to get a thorough understanding of the several techniques and how they work myself, before purchasing any packages, but this is something I would certainly look to outsource further down the line.

Thanks again,

Maybe he made it had a quick browse and didnt come back until 2 days ago? Stop picking on people who just joined.

Proxy's just stating the obvious fact that 99.9% of those kind of accounts have been bought.

Nevertheless, no need to be rude.

What would be the reason for buying an old account that has very few posts? Do they build up the post count quickly, so it appears they are a long standing member?
