good backlink strategy for a new website?

hey guys ,
Im trying to promote a website on my own .

website is 8 months old.
so far my strategy was getting competitor backlinks through ahrefs , getting all follow and nofollow links per domain and trying to replicate via reaching and guest posting.
its going very slow but I cant seem to find any other way, as I don't want to pay for seo freelancer and I don't trust most of them as this is sensitive project.

how you find backlinks that are high quality and that are no PBN?
it seems competitors have some backlinks from websites that seems part of PBN wordpress , and I be ttheir traffic is generated.

If you find fallen domains related to the subject of the website, you can buy and throw articles with regular chat gpt. You will have solid backlinks. Don't forget to open a page on social media and promote it from there. If you want permanent SEO success, I recommend that you have side websites that will feed your site in the category of your website.

fallen you mean expired domains with high DR? like search in sedo ?
the only problems with those is one is that you can only get one link per domain no ? I mean the juice is pretty much for one per domain no?

Also if one of them is penalized im afraid it will affect my site
 
Yes, expired domains. You will have created your own backlink infrastructure. Of course, by setting up the website on a different ip. You can browse the site history from the web archive. The general status of the site will give you an idea about whether it has been penalized.
 
After reading you post ill suggest you to contact niche relevant sites admin and ask them to point you site link.

once there are 10-15 daily visitor on your blog you can start with foundational backlinks and continue for 2-3 months then go for low authority guest post and niche edits and increase the numbers gradually

foundational you mean like profile backlinks and directories?

also how much guests posts per week would be ok ? 1-2?

seems to me guests posts are better than niche edits since the pricing is similar and guest posts have less risk

  1. Foundational backlinks mean forum backlinks, web 2.0, submissions of all kinds, however the directories backlinks are not recommended now days, though I'm planning to post a checklist for of backlinks in whitehat subforum
  2. If the blog is a fresh domain then once in a couple of weeks, otherwise the the number may vary
  3. Niche edit is the most powerful backlinks and leaves a great impact on your ranking if taken carefully

I see that the pricing for link insertion (niche edits) are almost similar to guests posts or in many times 10$ cheaper. wouldnt it better to have a fresh guest posts instead of link insertion?

Focus on high quality sites to guest post and check whether it's do follow permanent link before buying. Use variations of keywords instead of focusing on single keywords.
