There are a few services here to increase your DA and you can find some services on fiverr as well. Personally, i think it's just a waste of money if you are not selling posts on your website/blog.

Buy expired domain with strong backlinks, and then redirect it to your website ( that u want rank ). U can find on this forum a Lot of useful post where and how to buy expired domain, how to check backlinks etc.
For 301 redirect, just use google.

Patience and smart work is the way to achieve the DA. My suggestion is to keep publishing the best articles and building relevant backlinks.

This is my own company which I use to sell services locally and so I can't risk getting penalised by google, I have seen people say you can get really high Da through spam but eventually Google will catch up to you so I will likely play it safe, bought a couple cheap directories that are supposed to give you good backlinks. Also going to go forward with high quality posts and links.
A lot of you are saying DA doesn't matter, or why focus on DA. I'm not really too sure, I just thought it was the main criteria for SEO, I want to rank higher than competition or at least be on the first page when people are searching for my type of services. I am also looking into radio ads on a local station and Banners placed around town. My goal short term is at least that if someone wants to find me, I pop up first and not some random company with a similar name at the other side of the world.
Also I got a cold call today from someone claiming they will buy a domain such as "exactkeywordiwant.com" and then they rank it and direct it to me, I didn't buy from them but wondering if this is a smart idea for me to do myself?

Not just that, I spammed my site for experimental purpose. I did web2.0 , profile creation, blog commenting to the most.

Start getting some good backlinks and you will see your DA improving within months. I actually increased mine from 18 to 31 in 2 months
Thanks, I am just trying out different methods at the moment, I am trying out outreach posts from serplogic. To increase to 31 how many links did you need and from what types?
I am just starting out with my website, but have been reading up a lot and can't seem to get a clear idea on how much it costs, or how many links on average it takes. Which is frustrating for me as I like to plan out, whereas the general consensus seems to be to just get links and prey.
It would be really helpful if there was a rough estimate EG "for 10 50DA links you will likely go from 0 to 'X' "

The links i used was websites ranging from 50DA to 90DA and was 80 links in total.
Wow that's a lot, would you recommend I learn to do it myself? As the paid ones I see are around $300-$400 for a link 50DA+. 80 of those would be around $24K+. Did you pay for yours or do them yourself?

You need links from good number of authority sites. It can be done by yourself but it will take some time. Find some reliable providers here in the marketplace.
