Hello,

my sites that I am hosting on godaddy are down for 10 hours+ now.

Does anyone else have this issue? I am using the deluxe linux hosting. I think it's not normal that the sites are down for that long.

I couldn't reach godaddy support yet cause they are not getting online on there "new live chat system".

Well, I'm using same hosting package as you and my sites are up and running. But my server is located in Netherlands

EDIT: Don't even try to contact them on LIVE chat, I waited 3 hours and nobody was there.
Try contacting them via official FB page. Worked for me.

I just talked to a godaddy represantive. They are running an automated spam filter on my sites that's why they are down. It looks like someone is faking huge amounts of traffic to my site.

Yes, it has been done for the North side of States. It does happen frequently for mega service providers due to overwhelming traffic as well as traffic glitches.

Fret not, it be up as there is a guarantee regarding this issue (saw it on the FAQ or somewhere ...).
Anyway, all the best!

Oh really my websites are hosted in godaddy having issues. Just checked.
But not all some are up and running.

My GoDaddy site is fine as well, don't know what could have caused your problem.

Why anyone would use them I don't know, terrible service, expensive and not easy to use!

socialmediapro, you stated...

I just talked to a godaddy represantive. They are running an automated spam filter on my sites that's why they are down. It looks like someone is faking huge amounts of traffic to my site.

I currently have over three dozen different hosts, [that are not EIG related] and never have the issues with them that I had with Godaddy hosting. I tried their hosting twice and vowed to NEVER use them again.

Mind you, this was for my PBN network. None of the sites were WordPress; they were generated by applications such as: Thingamablog, wysiwygwebbuilder, XSitePro, etc. None of these sites were resource hogs but Godaddy claimed they were???

My 1st issue?
Their tech support is HORRIBLE!
As long as everything is OK, Godaddy hosting seems fine. But the moment you NEED tech support, you will quickly learn that they are either slow and/or mostly incompetent in areas that need Level 1 + support.

My 2nd issue?
Their proprietary control panel is archaic
Anyone who uses cPanel and then uses Godaddy's control panel knows this.

My 3rd issue?
Tasks one can easily perform in cPanel have to be performed by Godaddy's tech support. When time is of the essence, this anvil becomes glaringly apparent.

I could go on; hopefully, you get the point.

For those who state they have had no issues with Godaddy hosting, more power to you. Just keep your fingers

In summation, I would switch hosts as soon as my sites were back up and running.

Okay 16 hours have passed and the sites are still down. They said they put a spam filter on my site and they can not tell me how long it will take. I asked them if it was possible that this takes a few days or will be fixed in a few hours and they said "we can not tell you how long this will take". which basically means that it can take pretty long. I think I really need to switch my hosting provider asap! What are you using where your sites are up 24/7 and not down 10% of the time?
