socialmediapro, you stated...
I just talked to a godaddy represantive. They are running an automated spam filter on my sites that's why they are down. It looks like someone is faking huge amounts of traffic to my site.
I currently have over three dozen different hosts, [that are not EIG related] and never have the issues with them that I had with Godaddy hosting. I tried their hosting twice and vowed to NEVER use them again.
Mind you, this was for my PBN network. None of the sites were WordPress; they were generated by applications such as: Thingamablog, wysiwygwebbuilder, XSitePro, etc. None of these sites were resource hogs but Godaddy claimed they were???
My 1st issue?
Their tech support is HORRIBLE!
As long as everything is OK, Godaddy hosting seems fine. But the moment you NEED tech support, you will quickly learn that they are either slow and/or mostly incompetent in areas that need Level 1 + support.
My 2nd issue?
Their proprietary control panel is archaic
Anyone who uses cPanel and then uses Godaddy's control panel knows this.
My 3rd issue?
Tasks one can easily perform in cPanel have to be performed by Godaddy's tech support. When time is of the essence, this anvil becomes glaringly apparent.
I could go on; hopefully, you get the point.
For those who state they have had no issues with Godaddy hosting, more power to you. Just keep your fingers
In summation, I would switch hosts as soon as my sites were back up and running.
