Anyone noticed Godaddy has cancelled all their renewal coupons now none works except few i.e. $10 off from entire order etc.... Now Godaddy forcing us to join the Domain Discount Club... Ah totally unfair. anyone noticed.

Gonna move the domains to namecheap.com What a weird practice by Godaddy.

Bye Bye Godaddy

if godaddy try and force me to do anything, i show them who the daddy is.

Never liked anything about GoDaddy. I'll buy a domain from them if I find a good coupon, but apart fromt hat I stay well away. Horrible interfaces, slow to make any changes, some bad cPanel thing, expensive and support on the phone and via email was shocking.
No idea how they have been doing so well.

Follow their slogan "It's go time" and get the hell outta there! Switch to namecheap or something.

What does it cost to transfer your domains from godaddy to namecheap? sadly i have a lot of them :(

They increased their domain pricing as well ( for India, not sure if internationally). Time to move all my domains to another registrar! Their hosting has impressed me this time though. Pretty cheap and can handle many users.

if you have over 100+ domains the it's cheaper to use Discount club. .com renewals are $8.29 and .info are $8.99. Anyway renewal prices at Namecheap ?

that's really unfair. I'll check and if i found any problems, then i'll move to Namecheap as you guys suggested.

Most hosting companies are doing this. Justhost and Bluehost have stopped accepting any coupon codes other than the default FREEFOMAIN. Moreover the price of hosting through affiliate link is much higher than the price if you go to their site directly - it really sucks.

Try namesilo. I moved all my domains there. Prices are cheap and they provide topnotch service.

Give them a call. It'll probably suck and you may be on hold for a while, but in the end, you may get some kind of bulk price. imply that you will carry on using them, so they don't just give you some massive fee to prevent you from leaving.

+1, I've been using namesilo for a while now, decent prices and no extra charge for whois privacy, straightforward interface, nothing bad to say about them so far.

Godaddy just annoyed me constantly trying to sell you crap and get you to buy more domains. I will say this though, when I've asked for a refund because I forgot to take domains off auto-renew they've been pretty quick about it without any hassle, but charging for whois and their cluttered interface is what drove me away. Without coupons to keep the price decent I see no reason for anyone to use them now.

So for anyone leaving godaddy I'd personally recommend namesilo, I've heard namecheap are great but comparing prices seem a little more expensive. Do your homework though, you mind find a gem of a transfer offer somewhere that you can take advantage of.

To those who are in doubt, it does not take a single buck to move your domains from gd. I did it multiple times before without paying any extra fee :)
