(?) Getting some bucks OFFline

• making websites for local businesses
• building a computer & selling it locally with some additional money for yourself

• Flashing and unlocking PSP, iPhones, mobile phones.
• Selling DS flashcarts (not anymore with the 3DS!).
• Buying things online and sell them locally (memory cards, phone cases from DX)
• Buying things offline & selling on/offline (eg bargain phones, laptops)
• Repairs : xbox360 RROD, DS, PSP screen replacement etc.

• Live somewhere with a lot of ppl
• Dont totally rip ppl off with clone phones or fake memory cards
• Be nice and friendly
• Keep their numbers, tell them of the other things you might have for sale
• Be aware that ppl are usually late, so you gotta allow for that
• Set up a website showing all your services and products you have for sale
• advertise by word of mouth and classified ads sites
• If you cant do something in your field (eg you can fix phones but cant unlock) then search for someone in your area offering that thing and JV with them (send eachother work)

I have had success with all of these, advice I would give is:

• Live somewhere with a lot of ppl

I have stopped these things since a few months back, due to time constraints and generally low mark ups, but there is definately money to be made there.

I am currently working my way into the web design field. I feel its more consistant, manageable, more future proof IMO (as things get more advanced, they are harder to repair!), and easier to scale up and go legal (more structured than selling bits and bobs).
