Getting nominations for awards - Facebook ads

So we need to get nominations for an upcoming tech awards event in Toronto. My targeting is as follows:
1. Age: 35-64
2. Targeting CMO's, CTO's, CIO's, Senior IT managers and other C-suite professionals.
3. Oh... Canadian's only
4.
Spent $84 already with 1 lead.

A little background.
1. The Canadian market is really small, unlike US. The people we're targeting are even more rare. I'm wondering what's the best way to get more nominations.
2. I've tried people faces and it did very badly. That one lead I received was from a trophy photo so I switched the rest to trophies but it's still sucking and I'm still at just 1 lead which turned out to be BS.

Any suggestions and help would be great.

1. Give them the reason why they have to nominate. ( If your nomination wins, you get $200)
2. Guest posting in some Tech blogs.
3. Ask some micro-influencers to post about the award.
4. Join & post in some Tech groups.
5. Is your prize big enough?

Just looking at that, I have no clue what it is about, and why anyone would want to enter...

You need to rethink the text, and the images. The images you have are not catchy... and the text is overly generic.

- Network with some of the best in the Canadian IT industry.

As far as the images go, I'm stumped. Previously I had Canadian CIO's who have participated in the past events. That should have done good since the idea was that their peers would recognize them in those images and drop nominations. But then I noticed we received a lead on a trophy image which is why I changed it to include the trophies. Since psychologically awards are associated with medals and trophies.
What image would you insert? (Would appreciate if you could be specific)

I would choose something more personal, the award picture looks like a stock photo. It can be something with a bit of programmers humor, something that doesn't look like an ad.

I'd go with a post boosting, something like "what awards can you get to grow your performance" or "the benefits of..." or else. it shouldn't look like you're trying to "sell" them something.

FB ads is good solution for you, but guest post also give you result

you need to have images that stand out. It does not have to be of an award, or of a person. It doesnt really even have to do with the subject. (Look at shopify's ads, they are one of the fastest growing companies, their ads are just random cool pictures)

do something that grabs attention, and makes people want to read the text. Assuming you targeted properly, you just need to get peoples attention.
