Getting My Start On Tumblr

good luck! I'm also planning to blog using Tumblr. I don't have much time yet. But after reading this post, I am inspired. I will pursue this plan.

Can you please guide me about this technique because i am really interested to maximize the profit. If you have more option then you can us me i will also try the others as well.

OP are you putting the correct tags for your NSFW tumblr blog? You'll get more followers that way if you put the right tags in. Go find another big NSFW tumblr blog, look at their pictures and find the tags they use. They got big for that reason because they used those certain tags

I don't think I am having a problem getting followers. Especially since we get close to 50 a day now. And that number is increasing. We are sitting at 318 this morning. I am sure if I used a bot or something this number would be much higher, but as I have said in previous comments, I am looking to gain legitimate followers.

The tags we are using a good tags and I've been monitoring to see what get's the most hits.

I've tweaked our theme a bit and added a section to allow users to advertise on our blog. I figure this could be a start to bring in some money. Obviously I will approve all sites/ads that we put on the site. I even mentioned, for a cost, I could design the ad for them. I am putting together some samples and will throw those up there too. I also have a donation button on another page that allows them to donate any amount they wish. Any donation will go towards the purchase of our domain and website. I have a feeling that we will get the site before any donations come through. I feel I am almost ready to break away from Tumblr (keep the Tumblr page and start feeding traffic to the main site). I just don't want it to look like spam.

Sorta tried that already and it didn't go so hot. Made $10 for an hours worth. We need someone we can trust to mod and promote. Not to mention, it is a bit awkward. The payouts are stupid too.

Becareful with linking to affiliate sites wiht tumblr.. they dont like that too much. I have had multiple sites shut down cause of doing that. Your best bet is to use the clickthroughs on your pics to a legit site that you guys set up and drive traffic to that site.

It isn't really hard to get 5k followers. I created a NSFW Tumblr blog about a month ago, and I already have 3k LEGIT people following me. I don't post orginal content either, instead I only reblog.

You seem smart. You don't have to you can easily promote through having podcasts and etc. Don't direct link though.

I'm considering starting a tumblr as well! It won't be NSFW though.

you have 3k followers in one month ? how many reblogs per day ? how many people you are following ?

Please continue the posting in tumblr, You will surely get good amount of $'s by it - It's my personal experience.
