    The Crowdsourced Manual Link Building

With the Crowdsourced Manual, you’re not just creating content for the
High Authoritative Sites ...but with the High Authoritative Sites

    I’ll explain.

A Crowdsourced Manual collects bite-sized opinions and insights from dozens of experts in one place.
Because you’re curating knowledge from multiple A-list names in one place, your content has a VERY
    high Utility.

That high perceived value means that links and social shares come your way with ease. You’re also tapping into each expert’s existing audience. That way, these experts send you traffic from their audience.

    Let’s dive in.

=> Finding Crowdsourced Manual Topic <=

Like All Informational Page on your website, you want your topic to be something that your Link creating sites show a propensity to link to and share. Makes sense, right?

The only wrinkle with The Crowdsourced Manual is that you also want your topic to be something that your experts can easily give their take on.

For Example, In The Internet Marketing Niche, It could "Favorite Keyword Research Tools" or "Favourite Link Building Tools."

=> Create Your List of Experts <=

If you want to experts to your list, head over to AllTop and search for blogs in your industry.

You can also use these two search strings to find experts that are likely to get back to you.
These will bring up not just any industry experts...but industry experts that tend to participate
on other sites: “keyword” + “interview with” “keyword” + “guest post by.”

That means they’re highly likely to participate in your Crowdsourced Manual.

How many experts should you invite?

In general, it’s hard to have too many experts involved. The more experts you have, the higher
perceived value your content has. Also, a certain percentage of experts will share your content.
    More experts=more shares.

In my experience roundups need at least 15 experts to do well. But don’t be afraid to have 50-100
experts participate in your Crowdsourced Manual.

    => Craft a Question Based on Step 1 <=

Remember, the more focused your topic is, the more likely you are to get responses.

Fortunately, you already found a focused topic in step #1.

This step is about turning that topic into an easy-to-answer question.
Because your topic is already focused, this step is a breeze.

A good rule of thumb: your question should be so simply that it can be answered in a 140-character
tweet. Obviously, your experts can send an essays if they want. But you want to give them the
option of a VERY short response.

    => Contact Your Experts <=

Once you have your question, it’s time to start sending that question out to the experts on your list.

Here’s a script that I recommend you use:

    Code:
    Subject: Quick question about TOPIC

    Hey NAME,
I’m putting together an expert roundup on TOPIC and (naturally) wanted to reach out to you.
The question is: YOUR QUESTION. I know you’re busy so a lengthy response isn’t
necessary (100 words is totally fine).
I’ll obviously include a link to your site and Twitter profile in the post.
    Thanks in advance,
    NAME
PS: I plan on publishing the post on DATE. So if you could get your response back to me
by then that would be awesome :)
But before you start with your outreach, I want to share a quick pro-tip with you.

Like anything in SEO, you want to be VERY strategic in how you reach out to your experts. Don’t
just start off at the top of a random list and work your way down.

Make sure you reach out to the bigger names on your list FIRST. That way, when they get back
to you, you can leverage their authority to get more responses from less popular bloggers.
Once you get a few big names on board, start using this script for the rest of the list:

    Code:
    Hi NAME,
I’m putting together an expert roundup on TOPIC and (naturally) wanted to reach out to you.
The question is: YOUR QUESTION. I know you’re busy so a lengthy response isn’t
necessary (100 words is totally fine).
I’ll obviously include a link to your site and Twitter profile in the post.
    Thanks,
    YOUR NAME
PS: We’ve already received responses from X, Y and Z. I’d love for you to be involved.
When your experts see that big name experts have already contributed they’re MUCH more likely
to throw their hat into the ring. They think to themselves: “Wow, if X, Y and Z already responded,
    this must be cool.”

    What's Next?

Wait about a week for experts to get back to you. That will give the time to reply and you time to
    put the Page together.

Thanks for reading this out, I put a lot of time jotting it together
