No, my method is more complex and requires a bit more work. My method gets you an indexable, do-follow link.

I think OP's method here is for a no-index link. Still a pretty cool method though! :)
 
Its only waste of time and effort as wishlist is not indexable, its only public URL so you can share wishlist with friends over social media sites.

when you index the link, dont get the url by clicking "your lists" instead go to "your account" and select the your lists option as the page authority is ( on mine anyway i dunno if its the same accross the board ) is 61 and if you go straight from "your list" the PA is 1

Great..... Bt I've something to add........
You should also add another Line on HOW TO MAKE IT PUBLIC. By default, The Wishlist is in Private Mode, Bt you can make it PUBLIC also.
 
When I right clicked on my wishlist page and selected "inspect" I found that:

I made a mistake or... ?

Others have already mentioned this in the thread. It's a noindex link.
