Hey fellow IMers, today I decided to take a couple minutes and share a helpful way that I found on how to get a Do-follow backlink from Amazon.com. Super simple, very quick, and free. Let's jump in.

First, make sure you're signed into your Amazon account. Then, head to this link: http://amazon.com/gp/wishlist/get-button You should see a button to install Amazon's "assistant" extension. I'm on chrome, but I imagine they've probably made extensions for most popular browsers out there.

Install the browser extension, should only take a few seconds to complete. Now that you've gotten the extension, head over to your website that you'd like to create a backlink for. Once you've landed on your site, click the amazon browser extension (on chrome it's in the top right section of the browser).

From the extension's dropdown, you should see a large yellow button with the text "Add to Shopping List". On the very right hand side of this button, click the arrow icon and then from the dropdown that appears, select "Wish List".

Now that you've added the site to your wishlist, head back over to http://amazon.com

In the top menu section of Amazon, you should see "Hello [name] Account & Lists". Hover over this section and then from the dropdown that appears, click "Wish List" (it's under the "Your Lists" section).

Now you can see the site that you just added to your wishlist - it's full clickable url is there and you also have the ability to add extra comments to this site's listing (add some keywords here if you wish).
If you right click on your site's url and select "inspect", you will see that this is indeed a Do-follow link!

And that's all, rinse and repeat with any sites you like! Happy link building.

Nice. Works like a charm.

The only thing I'll add is that make sure your Wish List is marked as "Public" (you can set it to Public or Private on the Wish List page). If it's set to Private I assume Google won't (can't) crawl the Wish List Page.

Don't work for me
Failed to add to list, please try again later

Worked for me, and I went to the home page of 4 sites and successfully added them.

You will need to use an inner page. I tried with home page and got the same error but inner pages work perfectly.
That's weird I just tried the homepage and it worked for me. Must just depend on the type of website/blog.

Thanks for Share. Will try it soon.

@Leith is this a same method you are talking about?

I added my website and it will sell it to me for $8257.94! I have no idea where it pulled this total from :)

Awesome share, thank you!

@BassTrackerBoats is it possible to edit the title on this post because it blocked out dof ollow, can it be changed to "Do-follow"?

Just tried it and it worked. Made my wishlist Public and then opened it in Incognito and everything worked fine and the link was there but the problem is when you check the source of the page, you can see the <meta> tag having content="noindex" attribute. Meaning, the page is telling the bots not to index it. http://prntscr.com/j7gxe5

If you guys wanna get this link to count, you will have to forcefully get it indexed. Blasting it with Tiered links may work? or submitting it to Google?

method works, not sure what this would do to rankings if anything....

Just wanted to add - rinse and repeat also for different Amazon country sites, so more links....
The extension has a cogwheel settings button in the left upper corner of the pop-up window (a bit grey on grey, so might not be very well visible on some screens), leading to a menu where you can change country site.
Also you can post to a newly created list, not only the main wish list, if you want to keep yours clean. Be sure to set it to public, though.

Will this be indexed SE?
I have submitted to google url, after 12 hours still not indexed

working!
thank for share. :)
1 question OP. is link shown up in Google console?

Did not get this to work on any of my sites. Tried both homepage and inner page :/

Update: Got it to work! U need to create a wishlist first, then do this.
