Ok found what the problem was thanks loreit for noticing it! It seems for the second time my problem was that I confused less with greater, this problem actually got introduced in the program I took this from when I tried to handle my errors better than I did before! This is the reason you were not getting the proxies loaded message as well! This also fixes the problem with the software showing the wrong rank in the Top rank field

A few more bug fixes. Yahoo and Bing ranks were being confused and bing top rank was not being estimates, these are now fixed.

Todays bug report! (But its still a useful tool, I use it daily to check my MNS)

Its more stable, but crashes sometimes.

1. You got some problems with the proxies. I used 20 private proxies, and is crashes sometimes. I estimated it to be 1 in 20 keyword searches. I tested without proxies, and it never crashed, and when only using 1 proxy it crashes more than 50% of the times I start a check with a site and 2 keywords.

2. Yahoo top never updates, possible that 0 is best possible rank you can have?

3. I haven't tracked down this problem, but rarely the software hang during Initializing when not using proxies.

Hey loreit,
Check the post right above yours it solves the yahoo problem. Will try to figure out what is going on with the proxies.
 
Todays report! ;)

1) Not clearing Profiles
a)open RankTracker
b)Edit an old profile, Update it
c)Choose another profile, edit it and you will get trouble (both profiles mixed in the keyword list)

d) Also when you edit an old project I tend to get a new empty line at the bottom (causing an empty keyword in the tracker)

[Note, I do tend to edit the files in notpad since if you are editing the profile you clear your history]

2) But the most annoying is that the program crashes, and Its definately associated wiht the proxies. It only crash if I use proxies.


I have not managed to get it to lock in Initalizing whitout proxies as I had earlier. Also the "Top" is updated if "Cur" is better, however "Top" is not updated if "Prev" is better (realy not a problem for a fresh Profile).


I'm using this tool daily. Its the fist software I run when my kid has fallen asleep and I'm starting up my computer. I got a couple of MNS googledancing at the moment, its very exciting to check their progress/dance.

Sorry for that completely forgot about the updates I've promised. I am away and don't have the source code with me I will try to do the fix tomorrow or the day after.
 
Looks like an interesting piece of software. Can't wait to try it out. I'm subscribing so I can catch that new bug fix you will be releasing soon.

Fixed the edit profile to refresh and cleaned up a few of the empty lines coming up in the software for no apparent reason. Will try to do the remaining suggestions as soon as possible.

i am behibd a proxy and i get a 407 proxy authentication required error.

please advice
 
You could try asking the firewall to unblock the software.
 
Since a lot of you were reporting problems with proxies I completely redesigned the softwares proxy support. Check it out and let me know what you think.
