The recent edu. trick inspired me so I wanted to share a little trick I figured out.
Spotify has a student discount giving you the ads free premium version for only 4.99 instead of 9.99. Having an EDU account won't help with this because they use a company called SheerID. SheerID has a database of active college students and matches your information against that. It works pretty well.
Here's all you have to do. Search on Facebook for anyone currently enrolled in college. It can be your sister or or someone across the country. All you need is their name, school and birthday (all easily available on FB)
Sign up with their information, it'll verify it and then change it to your name (or a fake). You just saved $5 a month.
Similar method with Groupon to save 25% off every single purchase if you're interested in learning more.
