[Genius idea] Is there a CHARITY Affiliate Network?

"Total giving to charitable organizations was $373.25 billion in 2015 (2.1% of GDP)" - in the USA
(and 71% is from individuals a.k.a. normal people)

Charities are a big market in the US. I mean shit, there are over 1.5 million non-profit organizations in the USA. There is no need for me to further stress why this is a huge market, and why people are so psychologically open to it.

I want to promote a charity and get commission on all the donations I bring them. Does such a network exist?

The only network that I was able to dig up is: godonor.org but that site is dead since 2011. Anybody got any clue as to where I can find such a network?

if you do some research there are charities that only donate 10% of what they get, all the other money goes under "expenses"

There's a TON of charities that donate next to nothing. Quite sad if you ask me.

I already found that... but their "affiliate program" only lets you track how many donations you provided, they do not offer commission.

I've thought of this before but could never find any that had active affiliate schemes - many of them have tried it in the past but shut the schemes down.

To the guy who said "it's called a CHARITY" for a reason! or whatever...

In the UK we get people knocking on the door (they are called chuggers) asking for a donation "just £3 a month will save a childs life in Africa" - or whatever.

You get one charity, then another, then another within a couple of weeks - it's no coincidence because these people are NOT employed by the individual charities, they are employed by a company that acts as a middle man on behalf of the charities.

When you donate £3 you might wonder how the chugger can earn a commission - it's because the average person who donates will continue paying for 3 years, so they work out the lifetime amount you'll donate over that time and the chugger gets 10% of that total amount.

The next 40% goes to the middleman company.

The charity gets 50% of the money you donate - so in other words they don't see a penny for 18 months - the company running the chuggers gets it.

When you consider that some charities only donate about 30% of what they raise to the actual cause, only 50p of your £3 goes to where you want it to, the rest to everyone in between.

And once they have your number and know that you "care" the middlemans telesales department and postal marketing department, and of course truckloads more chuggers will bombard the crap out of you forever to try and squeeze more out of you.

So as far as I'm concerned charity begins at home and when I open the door and it's a chugger I politely tell them I'm not interested and then slam the door in their face.

I'm not looking to scam, I'm want to monetize an authority site, in a white hat way (not the most moral, but still white hat) with a legit charity.
