General question (if you had something valuable)

Hello everyone, welcome to this thread!
Just a thought that came to my mind, any contribution is welcome!.
I have a "simple" question. Let's say you have something really valuable, like something that could revolutionize the way you post videos on YouTube, Would you use this for yourself or sell it? Since there aren't many large YouTube channels to implement this, the only option left is to sell it to larger channels or wealthy individuals, who can then use it and generate much more revenue, What do you think?

If I am making money I don't sell it. Because chances are you will ask for a free sample and simply steal my method without even buying or it will get leaked after 1 or 2 sales.
If I am not making money I might sell it or give it for free. Even giving free adds up to my blackhatwold profile and increase the value of my signature space.
