Full thoughts on Musk’s Twitter

What are everyone’s thoughts on Musk’s upcoming changes on Twitter?
What do you all think of his plans, will they help the platform or hurt it, short term or long term?

Does devaluing blue check marks make an impact on the brand and all those people with followers?
Does giving content creators a chance to earn take market share away from OnlyFans and other adult content streaming platforms?

I am curious to hear all your thoughts.

The previous team disapproved my checkmark within minutes, now at least I can buy it. So that's good.
Twitter actually has a lot of potential and I think under elons leadership it can reach its full potential.

(As long as I can have 10-14 accounts and few dozen child accounts to rt and likes I am cool)

I think it was a good thing that you needed to be somebody impressive, special or important to have a checkmark, that's the point, it's like an Executive position here, it's supposed to be hard.
Now that you can buy it, so can everybody, so do you even want one anymore?
What is " rt " though?

He got rid of all the top brass and made himself the dictator, so who knows what is going on in his head?
 
My thought: Is a case of a filthy rich arsehole killing another successful product, coz they can. Google did it lots of times before, but probably because of the tech, and not for pride. But.. it is what it is. Let’s say bye-bye to the little birdy.

If you can buy it and it's cheap, it really isn't worth much.
 
I really feel like Twitter will go through quite a change, compared to changes other social media sites have had in the past.

In 5 years time, it'll probably be completely different. Either really good, or really bad.

I agree entirely, he basically removed all value for everybody else and made it more profitable for him, king move but it hurts the other major influencers of the platform and their followers.

I don't think it will die a quick death but if it dies, it will die a very slow slow death.

Exactly, now Elon is intelligent so, it's possible there will be something else for celebrities and influencers, but who knows, it's impossible to predict with him.

It's worth every penny. I am hoping those who already have it and don't pay and loose it, making it worth even more.
That what I am really hoping for.

Just because there is a charge (monthly) now for the Twitter blue tick, that does not mean that there is no longer an approval / verification process for it. The approval / verification process for the Twitter blue tick, still remains irrespective of the monthly charge upon getting the Twitter blue tick.

Not really, the policy chief gadde is fired due to bad policy. There an old Russian saying fish rots from head. Rotten heads are removed now.

Even upto this moment, the approval / verification process for the Twitter blue tick, still remains irrespective of a few (or perhaps many) people being fired.

OK, so as per what you say, the approval / verification process for the Twitter blue tick, is very different from the last time you checked ? Anytime a platform makes any changes to their approval / verification process, they always make an official announcement about it on their official website. Could you please post such a link here where Twitter has made any recent (after Elon Musk takeover) official announcment about any change made for their approval / verification process for the Twitter blue tick ... (That would really be a useful information).
