From Riches to Nothing. Dealing with Failure.

Hi all,

I need some advice, and I hope there are others that have been in my shoes before.

Between 2009 and 2011 I was living the high life. I was making so much money online. To me $20,000 a month was more than enough to live on and enabled a total change in my lifestyle. Growing up poor, and then working hard to make money, was a real life changer.

All of my efforts were Blackhat. Not illegal, but Blackhat. I was keeping up with the changes in the scene, adjusting my methods etc. I had a nice user base for what I was doing that enabled me to grow, and grow.

Then I got busted for something stupid. I was sent to prison for 12 months for computer crimes.

I lost everything. When I was released from prison I had to start again. But, the game had changed dramatically. I lost touch with the scene.

From making $20,000 a month I'm down to making nothing. I feel like a complete failure and feel that I'm never going to succeed like I did before. I just can't seem to get back to the top again.

When I was banking I was writing software, bots, scripts etc that all helped with what I was doing. I can still do it, but I just can't seem to start. Not knowing where to start, or how to start, it's really depressing.

I need a morale boost. Anyone been in this situation? Been up there, lost the lot, and had to work from the bottom again?

Any advice is much appreciated at the moment. Seriously.

Just out of curiosity, where do you live and what did you do online that got you in prison?

Ontopic: You can try Youtube + PPD since it's pretty easy to start and start to earn some money.

Yeah I've been up and down several times.

If its any consolation. The Harvard business school teaches you need to go bankrupt at least twice if you ever want to be truly rich.

You had the skills to pay the bills, dont be looking back to how great things used to be, strip down what you were doing that made money. You must have been doing somerthing unique which made you valuable ? find what that is and start again. Even if its only a $ at a time once you are making progress your old confidence will return. Once you have your confidence back you will start to see more opportunities opening up.

You've done it once, you can do it again.

Why not start with a JV utilizing your skills, then build from there. JV with someone who is making money now and help them ramp using any one of your capable skills.

You probably just need to start seeing money flowing again and it'll be like old times again - the buzz the elation the challenge..

It was unrelated to marketing and money making. What I did had no relation to money. Computer hacking related.

Nice twist on the question "How do you make money online" These newbies these days are becoming more and more advanced in asking this question.

Everybody's went broke before brother. It's a part of getting rich. Hang in there, re learn the scene, and get $$$. Simple as that.

i was down for a whole year until i realized how much i could make in that time.
stand up, get the dirt off your shoulder and hustle.
as someone said, do a jv. i think with your skills your should be making money in no time.

Did I ask how to make money online? Find me a sentence in my thread that stated that, or may have given the opinion that I was asking that. I'm looking for advice from others about dealing with the transition from having money to having nothing and how to mentally get your head around the transition to deal with it and grow again.

Question: When you sit down to start on something with the intent of getting back into the game, what is the predominant feeling you have?

Do you get a tight feeling in your chest? Or is it purely a mental form of stalling that you are confronted with? Is it just doubt, or is it some type of inner conflict?

Oh, and to top it off I just found out my girlfriend cheated on me. Ha! I know it sounds like I am trolling now, I am genuinely not. This gets fucking worse.

Well, at least I will have the time to focus, and the time to sit down and have no hassles. I need to make positive of this situation.

Grind it out of you! You just did 12months inside that shit compared to this should be a piece of cake for you!
