From 0 to 100k followers before 2020

Hey guys!

I've been reading a lot here on bhw, especially the journey threads. Spent a good amount of time (months) reading and now, I'm finally taking action.

I made myself thus journey thread so I could keep track of my progress, be motivated, and have a network not just from the whole IG game, but in Internet Marketing in general. (Networking is one of the most important part, right?)

So I will try to grow ONE account MANUALLY because:

I don't have any money to invest.
I don't want my account banned from any reasons.
I want people to follow me because they like my content.

The first plan is 0 - 100k before the year end. Then move on to other like growing secondary account, monetization will come along the way.

First day stats: 0 followers, 0 followings
Niche: Pets (I like pets

)

Thanks for the advice. I'm looking forward to work with multiple accounts after my first account got like a hundred thousand followers. This is to make it easy to boost the other accounts.

Hi guys, a huge update.

So my account kinda took off, I guess? Here are my current stats:

1.3k followers, with an average of 400 likes and 32 comments each post. The account hasn't even reached 24 hours old when I started to post on it.

I'm shocked with this result. After achieving this kind of result, I know for a fact that this account have a huge potential. People keep on coming and leaving hella good comments. It keeps me motivated.

What did I do to get this result?

Picked a general niche, then added a little twist.
Setup the page. Put up a crappy profile image and think of a short bio.
Interacted with the big players on my niche.
Put out contents that are available online that did well.

After doing those, I slept, and woke up with a bunch of notifications. After analyzing what happened, I figured that a huge account (1m followers) that I've interacted with liked all of my contents. I think this put me on the explore page of some of their followers? Correct me if I'm wrong.

Anyway, this brings me 98.7k followers away from my goal.

Engagement Rate: 32%

The flow of new followers slowed down. Probably because I have done nothing but post 2-3 contents everyday. Still good IMO because I don't do the follow/unfollow method. The new followers follow my account because they like the contents I post. Still too far from my goal, but I think it is achievable.

Manually posting 2-3 OC is a lot of work, but if it pays off it is worth it. Good luck.

Hey guys, sorry if I've been MIA.

So after a month (30 days exactly), I've reached 10,000 followers in total.
This is my current stats (5 most recent days):

By this rate, I think a hundred thousand followers before 2020 is 100% achievable, unless I don't fuck up

How did I achieved these gains?

Interact with the same accounts in your niche all the time and do it consistently.
Interact with every comment and DM that's posted to your account by your followers.
Pick the right content that will fit your theme. Always pick contents that have high chance of getting viral.
Be consistent with your post timing.
Utilize every feature (likes, comments, dm, stories, tags etc.)
Be unique, always put your own twist.
