Freelancing only on weekends?

Is it possible to freelance only on the weekends?
I work an office job from Monday to Friday…
What do you recommend I should learn?
I have no skills lol. Maybe some coding…

I was thinking upwork. I am looking to make at least $100 extra per month.

Will I get burned out? or technology might change faster than I can learn it…

What do you suggest?

If you have already learned a bit about coding, I would suggest expand it and continue learning more about coding to offer it as freelancing service or to create your own software, bot or tool to sell in a subscription basis

You'll never get a job there. If you are starting with no skills, then you can't work for anyone. Best thing is to learn how to do, articles and program websites, create your own courses based on what you know software wise, or with regards to informational about the business you work in during the week. Do some videos about it on youtube too, and also create a meme animation channel on youtube, as these get millions of views globally, and they are quite easy to make, and good for us ugly mugs!

You can upgrade your ebook and video courses, to sell similar video and ebook media on other platforms, and also list merch that is related to what you do for any of your outlets so that people will hopefully buy the odd cavnas, or t-shirt, if you are regularly promoting yourself.

Once you have a portfolio of maybe three web projects with some of this stuff demonstrated, you'll find it easier to bid for work on upwork, as you'll have a set of skills and a resume to go along with it.

You are in a good position, though; you don't have to worry about money, and although your time is limited, you can make progress over a few years with consistency easily. Just don't try to bid for work yet, or you'll just fail badly, lol you need plenty of internet asset building experience.

It’s not impossible, but it could be challenging. Freelancing is like a full-time job... especially at the start, because you’ll need to handle everything yourself: the work, marketing, and other tasks.

If you focus on a service with a shorter turnaround time (like a week or two), it could be easier to balance with your office job and avoid burnout.

I’d recommend learning a skills like basic graphic design or copywriting, and focus on enjoying the process rather than rushing for quick results.

Alternatively, you could build on the coding knowledge you already have and grow from there!

Starting with something like basic coding, graphic design, or even content writing can be great. But focus on small, manageable gigs to avoid burnout. With consistent effort, $100/month is very achievable. Pick a skill you enjoy, stick with it, and stay patient progress takes time!

Best side skill i can recommend is to build websites, without a doubt you can earn the extra 100 dlls a month

It will be very difficult for you to organize your freelance work so that you only work on weekends. Clients won't want to wait that long, so you'll still have to work during the week, plus there will be a lot of messages from clients, clarifications, revisions, and so on.

If no skills, try to start from something you interested, then upwork is a good start
You can work in night and weekend

If you have no skills, you can learn some from the IM and SEO sites or courses on the web, especially BHW. Take a look at all the sticky threads here, or the journey threads where the proposed project are both explained, and updated to show they succeeded. Look at the marketplace or the HAF section to see what type of freelance work is in demand.

Learn how to do some of these things (perhaps using building your own site or blog for practice) then offer to do it as a freelance job, part time or full time. Show your success to date from the practice projects, and offer to work at a lower price than usual (or to get paid when the job is done) to get started.

Of course , it is possible but not for newbies. It is good for experienced guys who can work on own terms.

Hey! Freelancing only on weekends is totally doable, especially if you’re just looking for an extra $100 a month. Honestly, Upwork is a great start, even if you’re a beginner. The key is to keep it simple—focus on small, quick projects that don’t take a ton of time, like data entry, basic writing, or even some virtual assistant tasks. You don’t need to be a tech pro for that.
