Free Speech - Domain and Hosting Suggestions

Hi all,

I was assigned to create a website that will expose mostly politicians illegitimate practices and scandals. Nothing illegal about it, but it is imperative that offended parties will not be able to link the website or the domain name with an individual.

Do you know any offshore companies that would offer this business and keep my privacy at 100% ?

I bought the domain at Njal.la at 15/year already, can't get any cheaper. However, their vps starts at 15/month and I don't really need a vps. I will be going with shinjiru and their basic share pack and see how it goes...

use namecheamp domain and hosting.

Hosting Njal.la, flokinet.is, prq.se, privatelayer, novogara etc.

Njal.la isn't cheap, because they use their own Name, Address, Telephone and Email to register that for you, who is behind the domain is Njal.la not you. That's why isn't cheap.

To have privacy and to stay anonymous you need to pay.

For Hosting you have Flokinet.is web hosting, if you want something more cheap webcare360.com

Anyway, already got me my domain name via Njal.la. I understand that protection comes with a price but I would like to host somewhere else though.
Going through your recommendations, I narrowed it down to:

• serverastra - €40/y
• flokinet - €36/y
• offshorededi - €20/y
• alexhost - €10/y

for their basic packages.
I like cheap (don't we all?) but am I missing something? Is their a catch to those prices?

Well, Flokinet.is is a good choice to freedom speech. Remember, RAM available on Basic Package is the price you pay. Be careful with that. Cheap is good, but it can be a trouble to host for example large, medium blogs.

40€ per year, isn't expensive. It is considered "cheap". If you want something more cheap give a try buyshared.net

To have a good support, network and to protect your privacy you need to pay for that. I understand you want something cheap, but believe me. Hardware, Network, RAM, Space takes cost every monthly to a Hosting Provider. If you want something more cheap than that, probably you will have problems in Support, or network. You can't wait a good hosting less than 20€ per year.

My thread explains that, you have a lot of providers, others more cheap than others. In my opinion you should go with Flokinet (Iceland, Finland) for privacy and freedom speech. Romenia is a good choice if you want to stay protected against DDoS Attacks.

You didn't understand me, I believe they are very cheap. Too cheap to be true! 10-40 per year, are we serious? And they say they offer anti-ddos protection and lots of other stuff in that price too? Good Anti-ddos is offered by others at 10-40 per month, how can they offer such low prices with so many features? Seems unreal.

Anyway, I will probably give flokinet a try. Thanx again..

Yes, that is the price you pay. Flokinet.is only offers DDoS Protection in Romenia Location.

But Iceland / Finland location is better if you are looking for privacy / freedom speech.
