Can a member profile get a higher PR than its rootdomain?

Well, typically a website will have every page of the entire site linking to the homepage, you can't get more PR than a link from every page, so typically no internal pages would have more PR than the homepage. The exception is when internal links get external links which have more PR ... but these forum profiles aren't getting those kinds of high PR backlinks. It would be feasible to get a PR5 profile page if the root domain is PR5 though.

I see PR5 forums which give me PR not available (in seoquake) even for old and early profiles. Have they altered the forum so the profiles can't gain PR?

Most profiles aren't going to have PR, no matter how old they are. It'd have to be somebody that basically either knew to build attention to their profile or somebody that posted on tons of high PR threads in that forum, stayed on the homepage, etc.

That's basically what this thing does.. Builds links from every single profile on the forums to your profile. So *any* page with *any* PR is going to be linked to their profile, which in turn is linked to your profile. Passing that PR straight through to you.

I think about the only thing they'd be able to do against this is noindex member.php*, in which case they wouldn't even show up in your scraped list anyways.

Do you know of any settings or conflicts in IE that might keep this from working properly? I've tried
every combination of logging in/opening the bot and while it runs great and it does indeed visit the
profiles (i see the visitor count rise) it doesn't seem to be carrying over the cookie from IE showing
that I specifically visited from the profile I'm logged into.

I've tried it on Explorer 8 & 9 on Windows 7/Vista computers without luck.

There is a check box when you are logging into a forum. "Keep me logged in." That has to be checked. Guess I should have said that long before now lol.

Try closing the bot, firing up i.e., go to the forum, type in your login, your password, check the "keep me logged in" checkmark or whatever they word it as, after you are logged in visit one or two profiles. Verify that your link is actually being injected on the profile page with 10 last viewed widget.

Then fire up the bot and it should work properly.

Seems to work for me, but I don't quite understand the idea. The link on other profiles that points back to your profile, it doesn't show up unless you're logged in, correct? Then google will never see it, isn't that the case? Is the idea to get traffic from other users through their profiles?

...No. That link stays there even if you are not online. The only list that depends on you being online is the "who's online" list at the bottom of the forum's homepage. For an example of this, go to the BHW homepage and go to the footer.

The profile links stay there no matter what.. Well, sort of. It stores the past 10 people to visit the particular profile, once 10 more people come along, you will be bumped off that profile and have to visit it again. That's why I think scheduling would be crucial for an app such as this.

I still think this app could be awesome, imagine if it could read a CSV file of "URL,username,passwords" (or even better, simply import XRumer/SENuke records) and login to them all on a schedule.

Imagine if like I said before, it deleted records that failed to login. You'd know exactly which links stuck, which ones were moderated or pruned from forums.

It should, although its fairly easy to make a mistake. Did you actually log in, and when you were logging in did you check the "keep me logged in" box?

Yes. If you cannot see the profile without being logged in, the bot won't do anything for you.

I didn't make a mistake. I was logged in correctly (checked the keep me logged in box)

Thank you very much for this generosity. Unfortunately, I got the same problem as bobbys. The links don't appear for me. I've tried it out on different forums and browsers. Restarted the program, computer. Checked the "keep me logged in"-box. Just wanted to let you know.

Edit: Sorry mate. Got it working. When I run it in safe mode all goes well! Very happy with this tool. Just what I needed.

I got past the run-time error cause ya the URL was wrong but I can't get my profile link to show up like others. I tried everything, restarted, checked remember me, ran as admin, I reset the IE settings to default, I also checked like your post below me and I'm able to open a second window and I'm staying logged in and it will post the profile link then but it won't work with the bot. Hopefully someone can figure something out, I'm using Vista if that helps at all.
