If the group have lot of active members you don't need any boost, this will happened alone.

In my opinion, people who want to develop such a strategy can do the following
Create 5 accounts that are not similar to each other
While publishing a review of the X product, I will start from my accounts commenting that it is a good product and will ask how to buy it
In my point of view, as a buyer, when I see that there are 5 people who want such a product, this is what will prompt me to buy or know the price of this product or whatever. I will make them comment.
