Free Backlinks still work?

Cleaner links like web 2.0s or forum (Crowdo Links), not profiles to money site and other link types to that tier 1.

It's all about finding a clean source, even if it's a blog comment which isn't spammed to death can be pointed to the main site.

Every niche works a little different, so instead of throwing random links to the site, just do competitor analyses of top 20 and see what type of links they are using, how many you will need, if you can get links on the same sources they have etc.
I like your suggestion. I usually do this.

Sometimes it works well but to increase the DA PA of a website you can do some free profile backlinks if you want.

Hello all,

Forums, profiles, web 2.0, blog commenting, PDF Doc Image sharing submissions, article submissions, directories, classifieds, business listings still work and worth to create? Will they boost keyword ranking?

Are these free backlinks good for money sites in very competitive niche like clothing?

Or they are just good for tier1 or tier2?

Or just useful for creating varieties of backlinks and pointing to money sites?
These are useless now. Be prepared to spend in thousands per month if you are ranking high competition keywords.

People are saying here....Free links still work, but they are not effective.

Free links still work.....in what manner?

Free links are not effective......in what manner?

I have not seen big sites having their accounts on wordpress, blogger, medium, evernote.

So new websites can skip these foundation backlinks and start building backlinks from quality guest posts?

These free backlinks are low-quality and generally not effective for ranking money sites in competitive niches. They're better suited for tier 2 or tier 3 links to diversify your backlink profile. For competitive niches, focus on high-quality, relevant backlinks.

Yes, free backlinks can still have value, but their effectiveness and quality depend on several factors, including where they come from, how they are acquired, and the overall SEO strategy in place.

Free backlinks like forum posts, web 2.0s, and blog comments can still be useful but may not be powerful enough alone for highly competitive niches like clothing. They work well for tier 1 or tier 2 links, adding diversity and natural backlink profiles to support stronger links. For direct boosts in a competitive niche, you’ll need high-quality links, but these free ones can still help with variety.

Free or not free, backlinks from ONLY high-authority trusted websites will have a positive impact on rankings. Avoid backlinks from spammy websites.
