I dont know if this method work or if its even viable

but i was wondering if you pinged the the SERP's would that give you a backlink?

for example if you rank for keyword 1 on page 32 of the google SERP's, if you pinged that page would google count it as a backlink because all of the backlinks on the SERP's are ********?

any suggestions

You might want to look and read the forum some more. I don't even think you know what a backlink is.

Use advanced search of BHW. I think you will find whatever you want regarding backlinks and any other topics

Better yet, use Prstorm and start hitting Googles site pages with referrals, don't forget Yahoo and MSN either.. smaller search engines need love too.

Okay okay, at first I also thought he made no sense and either had NO clue what a backlink was or what exactly pinging does but after thinking for like a minute, I think I understand what he's trying to say.

Basically he's saying that by pinging the Google Search Page where your site is located at, like for example:

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=money&btnG=Google+Search&aq=f&oq=

Then the bots will go and see the title link that goes back to your site as a backlink.

Hope I made it clearer and anyways, I don't think it'll work. I doubt Google will count backlinks from it's own search engine, that's just dumb. But it might work with other search engines though, Idk.

It might has some merit and I have been thought of doing this a couple years back. but you might get deranked because of this. The serp page is not a standard feed page so ping might cause you trouble.

The only way to know is to test it out.
