i was looking for backlinks of my websites and found a website offering my Domaine name for sale what should i do now ?
claim agains theme or ask theme for giving me money after selling it ?

well it depends on how they acquire the domain.legally or illegally. it will be absurd to ask them to pay you if they registered it legally after you let it expire.and are trying to sell for profit.
 
If they control it now, they won't give you shit if you sell it. That's because the only way they could own it now is a) if you let it drop or b) if they hacked your registrar account and took it (although that's highly unlikely).

Either way they will ignore you or tell you to bounce. If they don't control it they can't sell it.

In that case, tell them you will give them a % if they sell it for a good price if you don't want it anymore, or if you do want it then forget about them and get on with your life.

Did you buy the domain off auction? or register it yourself?

Maybe they counting on snagging it after it expires. But I would not do any business with them.
 
I would treat it the same as some random dude will offer bill gates house for sale. I mean he can offer it, but who will deliver?
 
My guess is the previous domain owner had it for sale, or it went to auction and the website never updated those details. If it really bothers you, just contact them and ask them to remove that link.

I had a list of domains for sale when it was popular to sell domains. Once I gave up that money stream I forgot to delete my domains from afternic and domain marketplaces. Domains kept being registered because the names were cool but I kept having them on the list and kept receiving emails with buy offers from time to time. Maybe that's what happened, the domain was someone else's before you..

Is your domain parked? I have a pile of domains on GoDaddy and they are apparently for sale. Estibot says they are for sale as well :)
 
Just ignore it. If you using your domain and it has not expired, there's nothing to worry about.
 
first check date of post,it may happent hey wanted to sell ,it got expired and then u acquired it ,enjoy backlink ,can u pm me site name
 
Use the WayBack Machine to see if the site was offering your domain for sale before you acquired it.
 
If the domain is under your control then what to worry about.
Ignore it, or you waste your energy.
 
Offer a stupid high amount of money for it, the third party buys it from you in desperation, then cancel the order.
