Hey BHW

I think you might've noticed, but whenever you create a new discussion board, the first few posts will likely be bots trying to spam the forum. My question is, how do they find the websites. An example google search for "Community platform by XenForo" doesn't really yield the result. Is there a scraping tool?

Plenty of scrapping tools. From Scrapebox to RankerX, SEO Autopilot, etc.
As soon as a footprint shows up on Google, it will be susceptible of this practice

There must be hundreds of forum footprints shared here on BHW over the years. You can also scrape Boardreader to find more keyword-targeted forums/threads: https://boardreader.com/

Any system notices that they are stupid spam.

It you place simple responses that are beneficial to the actual thread, I don't believe contextual links would hurt the rankings. Or get deleted.
