What I've learned testing, losing and winning is that Forex have so many variables that you can't really predict every single chart is better to test and focus at 2-3 for a long period until you build your own strategy.
Who is saying that Forex is not a thing anymore, or any other kind of investment like stock, etc. is because they never spent hours, days, months hard working on it. The chances of losing are the same of winning if you know what you're doing, best thing to do is read a lot of ideas and do the opposite of what people says.
In the last years I found out that a close friend of mine was working silently on his own expert advisor which is basically a bot that trades 100% automatically, lost lots of money untill he come out with a stable one, what is important is the strategy that you put in it, it has to work in manual and takes a lot of time to code it but he left his job, and working costantly on it, I give it a test in demo for over a year and it was doing ok, then I decided to partner with him and invest some money, and so far it was a good decision.
Why I'm saying this? not to sell anything or to give false hope that you can make money fast and easy, but just as a proof that outside of social networks there are peoples that work hard and get results, and trust me the ones who are sucessful with forex are not out there southing everyday.
So if you feel that is something that you like and would spend a lot of time on, and have some money that you don't care losing after 1 year at least training with demo accounts, go ahead, it will take a lot of time and sleepless night but forex is not dead at all.
If you just want to make some money there are many many faster ways that still require lots of effort but that are not related with analytical skills.
