Well everyone, today is the day. The official launch of Flipurr.
Our system will allow everyone who uses it to buy and sell websites.

Flipurr has every feature our competitors have, plus a million, they could only dream of.

We offer an affiliate referral type system too. Which means, for every person that signs up under your referral link, you will receive a percentage of the listing fees if they are involved in either a, purchase or a sale of a website.

So basically, you never have to sell or buy a website, just as long as your referrals do it, you will earn a residual income. To become an affiliate just go and sign up to Flipurr. Inside your control panel, there will be a referral link that you can use to promote Flipurr.

If your auction does not sell first time, you get a FREE Re-list as well.
The listing fees are small and there are no success fees.
We also offer a few upgrades for your auctions at a reasonable price.

Currently all users are welcome to signup, however we will only give US/CA users a verified status if they verify their phone number. We will be offering international phone verification soon. International users can still bid/sell on Flipurr, just their status will remain unverified.

We have live help support available from 9am-5pm EST, Monday to Friday.

We are currently finishing our income verification system. So lets say you want to sell a site, and you have say adsense,chitika contextual adversting on it. Instead of just telling potential buyers that you have made X amount. Our new module will allow you to log into your account and verify the stats automatically with your auction and further assure buyers of the legitimacy of the auction.

Do you have traffic? I mean if I list a website for sale. how many eye balls will be able to see it in 48 hours?

Also it's not good to clone the style of the listing that flippa uses. You are losing credibility like this.

One last thing, SEO your links and use titles instead of ids.

As this is the first open door launch, the traffic is not yet developed. The idea is using social networking and other means, we will take this viral. I am hoping all you affiliates will signup and start promoting. My affiliate system is designed to make all your guys money.

You got to do offline marketing, put ads on radio and tv, and drive buyers to the site, sellers will automatically comes once there is buyers.And also, u got to rank #1 in google for keyword - buy established website

I already had a free listing for 150 users when it was in prelaunch. I am working on the marketing as best as I can.

I get this error message when I click on "new listings" or "featured listings" on your site:

Definintly wishing you the best with this. I might be able to send some biz your way. The hardest part is building that initial web presence and user base. After that I think you'll be good. Just focus on service and innovation.

UltimateSEO has a point. Flippa is 522 in alexa for the US and 948 overall, which is a commanding amount of market share in a small industry(website marketplace). Before flippa, it was sitepoint marketplace which was around 2-3 years prior so they had an existing userbase to transition over.

Relying on gathering affiliates as the way to get an initial start on a cloned brand which won't make money for us until buyers start purchasing sites is not at all appealing to me. Could you guarantee epc's of $0.50 or more, because that's what marketers are getting for that type of demographic(internet marketers/investors).

Yeah just use social networking and take it viral, the most vague and directionless plan to get traffic normally works great.

If you are truly serious about entering the website marketplace business you need to firstly differentiate your brand. Then i'd work on forming some sort of community(as sitepoint did to grow their base) about site flipping or internet investments. At that point having a marketplace makes sense and becomes a hell of a lot more enticing to affiliates to drive customers to a site that is already comprised of interested buyers and interesting sites/domains for sale.

@ OP - I'm still slightly confused as to why you haven't been in touch with any of the bigger players on the site flipping scene. There are a number of us around who run forums/blogs with a user base of site flippers who could have helped you get this on the ground if it would be profitable. I might be wrong, but I'm in touch with most of them and I haven't heard a word about Flipurr.

No offence, but no-one in this space is going to promote you unless you establish some sort of relationship first with your mission and future plans - I could send you a ton of traffic and hook you up with the right people, but all it's going to do is alienate people who respect my opinion on the industry.

Too many of these Flippa clones crop up with no real marketing power or thought behind them, and are more often than not dead after a few weeks.

Flippa practically has a monopoly right now and it's going to take a lot to even dent their market share. At the end of the day: sellers go where the buyers are, and that's Flippa I'm afraid.

I am well aware that flippa commends the market. There is room for many site flipping sites. I have created flipurr to be an easy transition for people use to flippa. You can call it a clone, call it whatever you like, as long as you are talking about it .

I have been busy writing the entire platform from stratch so my marketing is just going to start. It is hard to do everything yourself, so I am doing it in pieces.

Flipurr is an auction site and like any auction site, there will be similiarities between them.

I am not asking you to use flipurr, I am just giving you a heads up about it. I realize everyone thinks Flippa is the end all be all, but that does not need to be the case.

If anyone from here wants a free auction, simply sign up to flipurr and then create an auction. Once at the payment proceed to pay for it and then at paypal cancel the auction. Then contact me via pm or live help with your username from here and I will cover the listing fee for it.

That is certainly giving it a go... it's going to be a tough row to hoe though going against a big baller like flippa... even I know that.

Whisker and meathead pretty much summed everything up for you.
In all honestly, you didnt have to reinvent the wheel.There are tons of scripts you could have used out there for this site.

You honestly need to search for a good marketing plan, cause you are obviously very clueless in the sense that you think "its going to go viral", that made me laugh!

You seriously will need tons of targetted traffic to get this thing off the ground, trust me the way you are doing stuff isnt gonna work. For this kind of site you obviously needed some kind of pre-marketing to build up the hype , you havent done any of that.

I am not trying to be rude, but you will literally need to spend thousands in good marketing to even get this even considerable.

You should have been promoting this, way before it went live. Now it just looks like a ghost town.

Instead of just criticizing you here's some things you can do:
1. Make a landing page. Say something like, the next X number of people get no listing fees for life, or some percentage off.
2. Add some fake listings and bids to make your site look like there's someone there.
3. Rank it in Google.

You need to point the non www version of your homepage to the www. version, or vice versa.

Ah yes I forgot about the 301 on www. When deving it, I must of changed the .htaccess, thanks for the heads up.
The auctions on flipurr are real, however I am not placing fake bids or fake auctions just to make it look nice.
The pre-marketing should of been done, I agree, however being the sole developer, I did not have a chance. I am doing it starting today.
