Flipurr.com Offical Launch! - Buy & sell sites

Most of us know how tough it is to launch a new site, but even the dolphin doesn't seem too impressed with yours. (Flipurr doesn't look satisfied)

I remember reading your old thread talking about your grand plans for shaking up the market, but honestly you need a strategic platform, something that gives you a USP (Unique Selling Proposition). There's nothing on your site that screams you need to sign up now.

Also, you should make a promo code that allows free listings so we don't have to bother with PM'ng you. Then set it to expire after X amount of uses or specific date.

At this point you need to penetrate the market. If you are trying to make money in the next 3 months you already lost in this game. You need people now. You need to forget about profit for the short term and focus on capturing an audience or in 3 months you won't have a company.

Bottom Line: It doesn't matter if Flippa has 99% of the market. You could make a dent, but you have to think really hard about the "hammer" you are going to use.

Themvf, I will modify the current promo code and post about it tomorrow, thanks for the advice.

I have a site I've been wanting to sell and I would. I think you need to hire a designer and make all auctions free for the users first month for a limited time only or something.

To compete with Flippa(To be honest, it is not possible for you with this poorly made site. You better try to make your site a cheap alternative of flippa) you have to focus on populating the site with buyer and seller. If I were in your place the follwoing would be my promotion strategy:
For Seller:
1. target newbie and poor seller of DP and other forums.
2. no listing fee for 1st 6 month

For Buyer:
1. target website broker instead of real buyers
2. promote the site as a profitable brokering place. Seller would nott mind to sell at lower price as they are not serious seller.

After 6 month ask for a little listing fee like $5 per site. You will make 6 figure accumulating all those $5........

And ensure buyer & seller both's trust.

Updated 1st post, standard auctions are now free. Thanks

"Listing has yet to reach it's reserve price" - should not be an apostrophe - should be "its".

its seems op not interested for people thoughts

op is busy with marketing

Good luck with your website:)
Its your business plan and your venture but from my point of you, if you dont differentiate what you are doing from Flippa, you have established website and a massive goodwill to compete with.

Why dont you search the legal things to provide an auction place for blackhat websites, live landing pages with products, Turnkey AM OR IM Business Plans etc?

Just my thoughts but good luck:)

wrangler,

Nice catch, that grammatical error is now corrected.

bakxos,

I will also be adding a special section for services, products and other things that deal with the web. Right now under browse is the services section, where I will list things like traffic, backlink services, etc.

You gave me such a great idea for a new site. Your aspiration led to my inspiration lol.
Are you promoting this on other forums as well?

themvf,

Yes I have many marketing outlets. Online and offline. I am pushing the site hard. Setting up press release, article marketing, all the bells and whistles. Glad I could bring you some inspiration :)

Hey guys, I wanted some feedback on this, I was thinking of adding a verification system for people who run CPA on their sites. I am familiar with hasoffers' back-end and could implement a engine for it. The downside is if the user is running multiple sites, it will be hard to know that the earnings are from a specific site, like how in adsense you can use url channels for example. Let me know what you think.

i believe meathead said it, i agree, there are way too many out there, but i will give it a shot anyways, we all have to start somewhere

May be you could have used a Unique name? :)

I'll try it out, soon but since I'm not from US, I wont be able to get that verified status right? :(

Need to make the font bigger for the site links, and change the color of the links, that lime green is hard to see.

Howard_hughes,

I am working on a better verification system for international users. That's the only reason I have not opened up the phone verification to international clients. I like to know that people are who they say they are.

ChrarlesNCharge,

It all depends on your screen resolution and your contrast ratios on your monitor. I have tested it on about 10 computers myself all with varying settings to make it accommodate as much as possible. If you send me a screen-shot, maybe I can tweak it better for you. The site links themselves open up into a mini-viewer that will take you to the site from my site, but still allow you to return to the auction. Click on the site link to see.

Here is a little but effective tips: Create a few Flippa account and send private message introducing your site to the seller who's site auction ends up without a sale. Tell them your site doesn't require any listing fee and offer them free "get featured". 6 out of every 10 seller will be interested in your site.
*Bonus Tip: Test 10 times to fix all the bugs. 1st impression matters a lot.
