There's a guy on Flippa who does quite well doing this. Can't remember his username but I'm sure you would find him.

What he does is gets a high PR domain, installs a directory, drives traffic to it and then flips when the Alexa rank drops below 100k.

I'd suggest finding his auctions, looking at the Google Analytics stats and figuring out where he gets his traffic from.

I've had a client who actually wanted me to sell his directory, it was actually PR N/A and it had gotten about 7,000 links in the 1st month, with 1,500 UV in the 1st month, and it got sold for 150 USD, the alexa went under 100k , I'm not sure how he got that much links, but what I know is that he received a total of 1,500 UV in the 1st month and all the visitors were from directories. (mainly from 3-5)

Hi guys I just want to ask some PRO site flipper here. For example I want to sell a WP e-commerce site that is based on amazon products ie (laptops). Lets say I will use WP robot to import amazon products directly to my blog. And what I want to know is how to mass edit my amazon aff links to the future (owner) of the blog?

outsourcing, what can we outsource. Any recommendations/suggestions are appreciated. I have 1000's to play with and want to do a "fun" project.

To add a little to my question, I've never delved into flipping so just want to know more about the outsourcing part of things.

You can outsource pretty much anything. The best thing to do is outsource the tasks that you don't like doing yourself and that others can do better/cheaper than you can.

For example, if it takes you an hour to write 1 article because you're not good at writing, and you can find someone to write you an article for $5, then it's much more effective to have someone else write your articles because your time is probably worth much more than $5 per hour.

Just start with smaller tasks like article writing or link building and go from there. If there's a certain task you enjoy doing, do those yourself if you want.
 
Hey Meat I have a question for you. I have read pretty much everything I can find in the making money section. I want to know whats the best advice for getting started. I am a noob, but I have a the ability to learn. I have a bachelor degree in Computer Science and I've done web design for the last few years.uess my question is how do I find a site or keywords that are a good starting point.
 
I was wondering if someone has an easy breakdown of questions people ask and a template that has proven to work. I am probably going to develop one if I don't find a good one.
 
Hello, I've a beginner question. Is hosting is also included with the price when I sell a site. what If i don't want to give him my hosting & the buyer want the site in his hosting. I want to refer my buyers a new hosting of my choice if they don't have any. Am I need to upload all the files to his hosting.

Actually I want to know what the professional flippers are doing regarding this issue. Selling the site with hosting(domain, hosting included with price) or after selling site transfer to their hosting

1. can you sell sites with premium themes and plugins DLed online. (If i was successful in my listings id prob but em anyway)
2. I think i saw you mention sending the buyer the site in a disk as a precaution do you have others ways to make sure you dont get ripped off?
3. Do you recommend escrow for niche sites that i am looking to sell for under 400?

You will want to send him the entire site folder which you download off your FTP server, and the database for the site if it's a Wordpress blog.

So if your site is cars.com, you would log into your FTP client, find the cars.com folder, download it to your computer, and send that whole folder to the buyer.

Then if it's a Wordpress site, you find the corresponding database in PHP My Admin which is in your cpanel, export that, and send it to the buyer.

If it's just html then it's even easier as all you need is the folder.
 
Is there any materials you guys can recommend for buyers, like tutorials on DD? I mean expensive sites with earnings claimed
